What I have been loving this February!❤

Hey Everyone! February is nearly over which has happened so quick I feel. Anyway I am going to share what I have been loving this month/January since I didn't do a post like this for January. This is just anything I have been reaching for the most and loving. I was going to include things I haven't liked, like my hates of this month but I couldn't find anything :D Let's get to it.

* Pictures are off the products websites*

L'Oreal True Match Foundation(I'm in the colour N1 Soft Ivory )
I have been using this foundation for all of February and I love it. I have never tried it before but seen lots of good reviews about it, so I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did because now it has become a foundation I'm using all the time. It's super blend-able and very light on the skin, but still gives excellent medium coverage. I find a little bit goes a long way and it lasts a good few hours I'd say up to 5-6 hours without creasing or moving. It has a nice smooth finish to it and it does not look oily or dry.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer( I'm in the colour 15 )
I use this for under my eyes and lids to cover up lines, dark circles any redness. This does not MOVE or settle into any fine lines. Its very long wearing and feels creamy. It has a medium coverage but you can for sure build that up to the perfect coverage you need. It's not to thin or to thick, and it blends very well. Its hard to find that excellent concealer sometimes and this is just the best! Very great and its drugstore.

Maybelline Gel Eye Liner ( Colour is a chocolate brown )

I have been loving wearing eye liner on my top lids lately which I hardly ever did before I was always a water liner kind of gal. I have got into using liners for my top line and I have been LOVING gel eye liner. I feel like I have more control with gel liner, Its soft and blend-able and is less messy. I have been wearing a dark dark brown liner because its not as harsh and dark as a black one. I feel it looks more day time and subtle and if you want a smoked black dark liner look you can just go over the dark brown with a black pencil or shadow. This Gel Liner does not move! Honestly it stays put and sometimes is a little harder to get off at night when your getting your makeup off.

O.P.I Nail Lacquer in the colour Congeniality is my middle name

This is such a beautiful deep dark pink/red colour. It has little sparkles but nothing to glittery. I LOVE this shade its so dark but at the same time it has that girlyness to it. It lasts at least up to 5 days without chipping and does not clump up or go on to thick or thin!

Barry M Nail Paint in the colour Vivid Purple.

This is a beautiful deep rich purple! I love my dark nail colours but I still want girlyness and this colour gives me it. I can't get over how pretty this colour is, it has a little shimmer. The Barry M nail Paint does not clump or to thick or thin, It does not last that long without chipping which is the only fault to it, It only lasts me about 4 days but that is OK because I love it and the colour is so pretty.

Revlon Lip Butter in the colour Sweet Tart.

I have been wearing this lip butter for most of January and most of February. I feel its the best when your lips feel on the dry side. Its feels so moisturizing just like your applying a balm, Its very pigmented and wears well. It does not settle or bleed it feels amazing and creamy. The colour is a reddy pink!

Palmer's Lip Butter Dark Chocolate and Peppermint.

Oh my gosh! If you have not tried this you need to. This is the best thing ever for chocolate lovers. It smells like chocolate after eight mints, It smells better than chocolate and tastes better than chocolate. Its super moisturizing and takes care of my dry lips. I sit there licking it off and re applying because it is so yummy. Its super soft and I apply it at night time when I go to bed and I wake up with soft lips and the scent is still slightly on them. Amazing!!!!!

Sanctuary Spa Therapies comforting night butter.

This smells like a calming spa scent. Its very relaxing and soothing and it was in the sleepy time set. I use this as a hand cream at night before I turn my light off to go to sleep. It's just one of them luxurious comforting night butters that adds that calming feel. Its super soft and dries in quick, Its very moisturizing and I don't have any dry skin on my hands anymore. It's not to watery or thick its that perfect moisturizing formula.

Victoria's Secret Sexy Little Things Noir Tease.

I love perfumes so much so when it comes to picking one to wear for the day I struggle but lately this is one I have been reaching for the most. It's super girly but super sexy and womanly. It's fruity but sexy I find it hard to describe scents to people I just want you to smell it and give your own opinion on it because we all have different tastes and smells but for me this is girly, womanly, sexy and fruity.

Horoscopes.

I have been really into reading up my horoscope and its become an every morning routine for me. I'm a Libra and most of the things my horoscope has been saying lately has been so true and on point. Its fascinating and something I have been loving these past months.

Confident by Justin Bieber.

I heard this song on the Kiss Fm Radio and ever since I have had it in my head. I love it, TBH I have been loving most of his songs. Can't help it he does bring out good music.

I'm A freak by Enrique Iglesias.
Of course I have to give my Husband ;) a shout out. I love him so much he is the most beautiful and sexy man ever with a gorgeous voice. I can't wait for his Sex and Love Album to come out in March. I have been loving his new song I'm a freak ft Pitbull.

Something Special for a dog who was special! ❤

Hello! So this is a very different post and something that I have never done before and that is some nail art/nail designs.  When it comes to painting my nails I am very impatient and very messy. I am not very artistic or even good at art/drawing/painting but I decided to give it a try because today is a sad day for me and my mum and dad because today's date February 15th our lovely dog Lucy died on this date in 2011. Lucy was not just a pet, she was part of the family, part of my life and she was my best friend/baby! Cancer took her from us but she was a strong dog and hung on for as long as she could. I like to think of it that an angel joined the heaven 3 years ago on this date because Lucy was an angel. Anyway I wanted to do something special for her so I decided to have a go at some nail design. My mum has an amazing talent at nail art so she was over the moon when I was having a try at it. It sparked something off in me when I was doing these nails, I got hooked and wanted to keep doing some nail designs so my mum is teaching me and I will be doing some nail art/design posts. Here is what nail design I did for Lucy...

They are very girly and very cute! For my first ever go I thought it looks very nice! here is what I used...

Firstly I used Maybelline forever strong pro polish in the colour Porcelain Pink on all of the nails. I did a couple of coats because I didn't want the pink to look washed out or to light.
After that dried I then put the Barry M nail paint limited edition in the colour E 334 over the pink on the four nails ( not the thumb)
On the thumb I draw a paw print with a black marker pen and then put the Barry M glitter on the tip.
I then finished with a clear top coat and that is how I did it. Very simple and easy but looks very cute and girly!

So there is the nails I done in memory of my lovely dog Lucy Simpson, I miss her so much but I know she is in a happier and free of pain place, watching and looking down on me!

New Series: Holy grail or Holy fail?❤

Hello angels! what's happening? a new series? this blog is getting fancy! I thought of doing a little series on my blog called Holy Grail or Holy Fail. Basically for each post I do on this series there will be a category, from that category I will pick 5 products that I believe to be Holy Grail or Holy Fails. I will be giving my honest opinion but its only my opinion so what works or doesn't might be different for everybody. I think this series is rather interesting instead of doing a single post for 1 review I'm doing a mash up of products that have failed for me and ones that have been the best and telling you if I believe that its a holy grail or a holy fail! Sound good? Lets get started...

For the first post the category is skincare.

Holy Fails:

1. L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 purifying Micellar Solution.
This claims to dissolve makeup, tone and sooth skin, Unclog pores and remove impurities. I have to say it does none of that for my skin. Firstly it just wets my makeup and moves it around my skin I see NO dissolving or even just taking it off. So I thought OK it does not take face makeup off let's try eye makeup. I pored a generous amount onto a cotton pad, held it onto my eyes for about 20 seconds and wiped away and a tiny bit of mascara came off, I had to rub and rub and rub to get all my mascara off and it didn't even take my eyeliner off on my water line. It does take off none waterproof mascara a little bit, but not much! I use waterproof mascara and it takes so much rubbing and I had to use about 4 big cotton pads. It did nothing but wet and move my makeup around so I think for a makeup remover it failed and there is no way it unclogged my pores or helped in any way with impurities.

2.Neutrogena Visibly Clear Spot Treatment.
This is just a spot treatment that you put on a spot to reduce the size and redness. This is a little bit strange because I used to use this and it worked amazingly for me. It reduced the size of a spot and took away the redness, sometimes I would notice it took away that raised red bump you sometimes get when a spot is coming to the surface. The reason why this is in my Holy Fail is because it has stopped working!! *sad face* it does not take any redness, or reduce the size and it certainly does not take away any spots. It has completely stopped working for my skin and I don't know why. Unfortunately this has become a Holy Fail.

Holy Grail's:

1. Philosophy Purity one step facial cleanser
This has to be in my holy grail because it truly is! I have talked about this for so long on many of my posts I will always use this because it has made my skin so much brighter and cleaner! Basically its a one step facial cleanser so it washes and removes makeup, dirt and bacteria. It PH balances so it is not necessary to use a toner afterwards but you still can if you want. This is the best wash ever. My skin feels very unclean and yuck if I don't use it. It takes away every speck of makeup and feels soft when I'm washing my face with it. It is very much a holy grail of mine and I know for a lot of people it's a holy grail.

2. Philosophy The Mircrodelivery daily Exfoliating facial wash.
Again I have mentioned this in previous posts of mine. I hate strong exfoliating facial washes because my skin is sensitive so I try and find the gentlest one out there and I finally did. I first had a bunch of samples and then I finally bought a 240ml bottle. Its very gentle and can be used daily. It leaves my skin feeling well cleaned and smooth and looks fresher and brighter. Its not at all ruff, so you don't feel like your scratching your face away, its smooth but at the same time you can feel your getting a good clean! LOVE it.

3. Lush Mask Of Magnaminty.
This smells so yummy! It reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream, Very pepperminty and sweet. This mask has peppermint oils to stimulate the skin, so you can feel cooling and tingling feelings. Marigold oil and Chlorophyllin to treat the skin, So any blackheads or pimples or impurities this mask will sort them out for you. Then the best part its also a gentle scrub, It has evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate. I left this on for 15 minutes and I could feel it stimulating and detoxifying and pulling the gunk, impurities and oil out of my skin. It feels like a mask you would have in a spa, you just know its doing your skin good. When its time to wash it off, you scrub your skin with it and then wash it off, washing it off is easy it does not take much to take it off. I love how my skin looks once this is off. My skin looks brighter and clear and not at all oily or dry it feels amazingly soft. Pimples and redness have cleared up and my skin tone looks even, pores have shrunk and my skin feels amazing!!!! That is the best mask I love using it and love how my skin feels afterwards. Its my holy grail mask!

So that is it! First post on my first ever series. I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you enjoy the series because I got lots more products to talk about <3 In the comments I would love to hear about your skincare holy grail and fails. Warm brown smokey eyes. ♥

Hello everyone! These past few weeks I have been loving an eye makeup look that I have been wearing so much lately. It's using the Urban Decay Naked palette ( the first one ) and The Balm Nude Tude palette. I love these palettes so much, they both are very pigmented and both have gorgeous colours. I have recently created a warm, soft, smokey brown with both of the palettes so I thought it would be a good idea to show it on my blog since I'm always looking for new makeup looks to try. This warm, smokey, brown look really compliments and brings out my eye colour and I think it will do with a lot of eye colours. It has a smoked look to it, but not to Over the top smokey. I just love it so here is how I achieved this look.

The first thing I do is use the Urban Decay Naked palette and the shade Naked which is a skin tone shade. I take this on a round fluffy brush in my crease. I then take Buck which is a soft brown shade and fluff that around my lid and into my crease.

Next I use the Balm Nude Tude palette and the colour Sultry. This is a warm brown with hints of caramel tones. I pat this onto my lid with a flat eye shadow brush. I also go into my crease with this colour and turn my brush sideways when I get to the outer corner of my eye to create a shape and it brings the colour a little higher at the outer corner.

When I have finished patting that sultry colour onto my lid I go back with the color Buck from the Naked palette. I take that into my crease, swooping it back and forth. I notice when I do this step it makes a big difference to the whole look. It manipulates the crease colours making it blended and blown out. Since this is a smoked warm brown look I need that blown out affect and going back in with the buck which is a soft brown it really brings a blown out blended look. I turn my brush sideways when I reach the outer corner to shape and bring the colour higher.

I like to take a clean blending brush without any product and just swoop that back and forth in my crease to blend even more. Staying with The Nude Tude palette I take the colour Seductive which is one of my favourtie colours in this palette. Its a warm sparkly bronzed shade. I take that on a fluffy brush and focus on the outer corner of my eyes. Doing this step will bring the eye look together so it does not look flat and gives it more dimension and warmth. I then go back with a clean blending brush and just blend some more. ( Blending is always necessary )

So to pull this look together I take sultry that warm brown shade under my eyes. Taking this back and forth gently inner to outer corner. I then take a clean brush and just swoop it under my eyes to blend it out.

For a highlight under my brown bone I use MaryLouManizer by The Balm. This is a shimmer golden champagne highlight it brings in the warmth and glow I love this highlight so much,Very pigmented and very beautiful!

Now I do my eyeliner and mascara or lashes if I'm feeling up to it. For eyeliner I use Mac Kohl eye pencil which is very creamy and for mascara I use L'Oreal Telescopic which is the best mascara I have ever used, grabs your lashes and brings volume and length.

And that is it! I love this look so much and I hope you do! Thank's for reading and please let me know any makeup looks you have been loving. :-)
