Hello! So this is a very different post and something that I have never done before and that is some nail art/nail designs. When it comes to painting my nails I am very impatient and very messy. I am not very artistic or even good at art/drawing/painting but I decided to give it a try because today is a sad day for me and my mum and dad because today's date February 15th our lovely dog Lucy died on this date in 2011. Lucy was not just a pet, she was part of the family, part of my life and she was my best friend/baby! Cancer took her from us but she was a strong dog and hung on for as long as she could. I like to think of it that an angel joined the heaven 3 years ago on this date because Lucy was an angel. Anyway I wanted to do something special for her so I decided to have a go at some nail design. My mum has an amazing talent at nail art so she was over the moon when I was having a try at it. It sparked something off in me when I was doing these nails, I got hooked and wanted to keep doing some nail designs so my mum is teaching me and I will be doing some nail art/design posts. Here is what nail design I did for Lucy...
They are very girly and very cute! For my first ever go I thought it looks very nice! here is what I used...
Firstly I used Maybelline forever strong pro polish in the colour Porcelain Pink on all of the nails. I did a couple of coats because I didn't want the pink to look washed out or to light.
After that dried I then put the Barry M nail paint limited edition in the colour E 334 over the pink on the four nails ( not the thumb)
On the thumb I draw a paw print with a black marker pen and then put the Barry M glitter on the tip.
I then finished with a clear top coat and that is how I did it. Very simple and easy but looks very cute and girly!
So there is the nails I done in memory of my lovely dog Lucy Simpson, I miss her so much but I know she is in a happier and free of pain place, watching and looking down on me!
Awh Kim what a lovely tribute to Lucy by doing a lovely nail art manicure.I am so proud of you and your effort and hard work you put into doing this.keep it up Kim because it is worth the effort in the end and most of all it is enjoyable for you and something we can work on together too :)
