6 products I can't live without tag!♥

Hello everyone.  Today I am going to do the 6 Products I can't live without tag. This tag has been around for a while but I have never done it so I am doing it finally! If you have not done this tag I tag everyone, your all tagged by me leave your links in the comments so I can have a read. Basically you pick 6 beauty products that you really adore and use all the time and could not live without them. So I am going to go through mine...

Philosophy Purity Cleanser.

I am OBSESSED with this face wash, I have mentioned it before on my blog so many times. I can't go a day without washing my face with it, because my skin would feel yuck. This is a one step facial cleanser, It removes bacteria and dirt, Takes away every speck of makeup including eye makeup since its also claims to be an eye makeup remover and PH balances so its not necessary to use a toner afterwards but you still can if you want to. This makes my skin feel amazingly clean when I use this, I have now gone through tons of samples and 2 big bottles of this I am that in love with it. Could not imagine not having it in my life!

Sleek Blushes.

These have been my go to blushes for a while now. I have four of them already and I only discovered them a couple of months ago. These are highly pigmented, gorgeous colours and amazing lasting wear, They also give off a gorgeous highlight right ontop of the cheekbones. The colours I have right now are...

Life's a peach

Pixi Pink

Rose Gold
Mirrored pink

Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction fragrance.

I spray this on me at least once a day because I am that in love with how gorgeous it smells. The notes are red plum and freesia. It smells so sweet and so fruity but also slightly warm. It lasts a long time, even sometimes I still smell it on me the next morning. I can never get sick of the scent and I can never live without the scent.

The Balm MaryLouManizer.
This highlight is so beautiful, I wear it everyday as a highlight and sometimes as an eyeshadow. Its a champagne golden shimmer highlight that sits perfectly onto the skin. It feels very silky and soft and wears well. A little bit goes a long way because its so pigmented.

Batiste dry shampoo.
Everyone knows this dry shampoo its extremely popular. I can't live without this dry shampoo so I had to mention it in this post. I love the scents of almost all of them, they make my hair feel less oily and it does not dry my hair/scalp which some dry shampoo's have made my scalp very dry. It soaks up all the oil very quickly and gives amazing volume. Sometimes it will leave a slight white cast if I don't apply the brunette one but with a brush and rub in it goes away.
Urban Decay Naked Palette.
I use this palette every single day, even if I am not doing a full look with all the colours in the palette there will be one or two colours that I use from it every time I do my eye makeup. Its so so pigmented so this palette is lasting me a long time. The eye shadows don't crease up on me, or fade away. Some fall out but not a lot when applying them. Love this palette!!!!!!

So that is the 6 beauty
products I can't live without...
Please tell me yours and I am sorry if the pictures are not that great, need a new camera  asap! but I tried my best for now.

Them minty masks!♥

I adore face masks and currently I have been really into the minty face masks. It's not only that fresh mint smell and sometimes a chocolate mint ( after eight ) smell but the feeling of them, I find they give me a fresh, cooling feeling with mint oils it stimulates the skin which I love to feel with a face mask. I am sure there are tons of mint masks out there but I have two that I am in love with and I recommend them if you love them minty masks.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque.
This smells like toothpaste but a lot sweeter. It's a green face mask of course which I love because it reminds me of the women in the 1950's movies when they wore the old traditional green face masks. Its a thick mask so a little bit goes along way. I leave it on for 15 minutes and in them 15 minutes I feel my skin tightening and tingling but it's not at all stingy or uncomfortable. I can feel a cooling feeling too and it pulling out all the oil and gunk and bacteria in my skin. I have combination/oily skin its more on the oily side than dry. When washing it off it does take a little bit of scrubbing you can't just rinse it off but it does not take that much scrub just a bit. Once the mask is off I notice my pores around my nose have minimized, Some pimples have dried up and my skin feels fresh and clean like a new canvas. I have to apply a moisturizer straight after because my skin feels on the dry side but I need that because my skin is oily. I also love the fact that my pores are not as big the next day and I am not that oily. Sometimes if I have a red pimple or a spot is coming up and I have that red bump, I apply a tiny dot onto the pimple or raised area and leave it on over night as a spot treatment, the next day no redness and no spot! I recommend this to everyone, my mum even uses it sometimes!

Lush Mask Of Magnaminty.
This smells so yummy! It reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream, Very pepperminty and sweet. This mask has peppermint oils to stimulate the skin, so you can feel cooling and tingling feelings. Marigold oil and Chlorophyllin to treat the skin, So any blackheads or pimples or impurities this mask will sort them out for you. Then the best part its also a gentle scrub, It has evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate. I left this on for 15 minutes and I could feel it stimulating and detoxifying and pulling the gunk, impurities and oil out of my skin. It feels like a mask you would have in a spa, you just know its doing your skin good. When its time to wash it off, you scrub your skin with it and then wash it off, washing it off is easy it does not take much to take it off. I love how my skin looks once this is off. My skin looks brighter and clear and not at all oily or dry it feels amazingly soft. Pimples and redness have cleared up and my skin tone looks even, pores have shrunk and my skin feels amazing!!!! That is the best mask I love using it and love how my skin feels afterwards.

That is the two minty masks that I am loving and will continue to love and use. Honestly I recommend them both they are just like each other.  Please tell me any suggestions you have for any minty masks!

Battle of the Powders - Collection VS Rimmel! ♥

I decided to do a battle of the powders Collection VS Rimmel. I like them both but have made a discovery and opinion about them both and how this will work is I will make positive and negative points about each powder and then I will round the powders off with a conclusion and then I let you know what powder in my opinion is the winner. I hope you enjoy and please let me know what powder you pick to win!

The Collection Pressed Powder:

Positive Points:

  1. The scent from this powder is lovely. A sweet baby powder scent just like the good old fashion powder scents. The scent has not irritated my skin at all but I know scents do irritate some people so be aware of that. I love makeup that smells real nice so this is a bonus.
  2. Excellent pigmentation. I can wipe my finger over the powder and I pick up a lot of the product. I need that pigmentation because the powder is light and fine but you get a lot of it, a little bit goes a long way.
  3. It is very soft and leaves my skin feeling soft. The powder has a silky feel to it, so when you apply it and after you have applied it your skin feels smooth.
  4. Its more of a matte powder, No sparkles or glitter. So it does not make oily skin worse.

Negative points:
  1. My makeup does not set well with this powder. I find I have places on my face that don't look set with powder even though I have used it. So basically its not doing what it should!
  2. It does not last very long. My makeup is out of place and I am oily within 2 to 3 hours which is madness for a powder.
  3. It creases like crazy. This powder settles in my creases under my eyes and makes me look 10 years older which is such a bad thing because you want  your under eye concealer smooth without settling into your creases.
  4. It does not keep my skin matte. I get oily even easier with this powder, the oil creeps in after 2 hours or less sometimes.
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder:

Positive Points:
  1. It lasts ALL day long I mean all day, I can apply this say at 9:00AM, do a full day of things and by 9:00PM when I am ready to take my makeup off, this powder has lasted that long. No movement and no need to re apply.
  2. Keeps the oil away. As I have said I have oily skin/ dry but mostly oily and this powder keeps that oil from creeping in and by the end of the day im not a greasy mess. It does do what it says, Keeps your face matte!
  3. It does not crease in any fine lines and sets my under eye concealer really well.
  4. I have noticed since using this powder that my nose pores are not as clear and I read the back of the powder and it does claim to do so, so that is also very good that it does what it says.
Negative Points:
  1. It is not at all pigmented. Oh this drives me crazy because I have to keep going in with my brush to pick up the powder!!!
  2. I know it is a matte powder but its way to dry, It does not feel soft or even a tiny but moist which I like to have in a powder because I have combination skin.
Conclusions:
Collection powder has a lovely scent and amazing pigmentation but does not do the things it should like keep my makeup in place and last more than 2 hours.
The Rimmel powder lasts all day and keeps my skin matte so it does everything it claims to do but the pigmentation is poor and it feels a dry powder.

Winner:
I have to say The Rimmel Stay matte powder.

Review: NYX Diamond Sparkle Lip-glosses + NYX Lipstick. ♥

Hey Everyone! I have a mini review from NYX. For Christmas I received the NYX Diamond lip glosses and a lipstick , I got four of the lip glosses and one lipstick and I have had them since Christmas so I have formed a opinion on them and wanted to share it.

NYX Diamond Lip glosses.

These glosses are fully pigmented and full of sparkle! The sparkle is not chunky, so you don't feel any grit or chunky glitter. They go on smoothly and last for a couple of hours without re applying. The pigment is not to heavy but not to light. Its pigmented enough to do your lips with one application. I would not say they are moisturizing but they don't dry your lips out so its just a smooth gloss which is nice. The applicator is very easy, and is slightly bent which I love because it makes the application less messy and you can get in your lips better than a normal applicator. They have gorgeous colours that show off really well, The colours I have are...

Red Sparkle : This is like a Christmassy red, Not to strawberry and not to dark, the golden sparkles bring a Christmassy feel to your lips and make it look lighter.

Pink Sparkle: This is a barbie pink, with silver sparkles.

Paprika Sparkle: This is more of a burnt red colour with gold, pink and silver sparkles.

Plum Sparkle: This colour is more of a metallic plum with gold sparkles.

NYX lipstick

I love the NYX lipsticks they are very creamy and very pigmented. They last a few hours without bleeding or fading. This lipstick that I have has a slight shine to it but not much so its not completely matte. These lipsticks do not dry my lips out, they are soft and slightly moisturizing.

Narcissus: This colour is a barbie pink and would be lovely with the diamond gloss pink sparkle.

My Mascara collection + review! ♥

The other day I was looking through my mascara's and saw that I have a little bit of a collection. I also noticed I have mascaras that I have used and don't like so I thought I would share my mascara collection and tell you what I think of it, if I thumbs it up or thumbs it down. Enjoy.

* Disclaimer - All opinions are my own, and all products were purchased by me *

Maybelline Mascara's!

1. Pulse Perfection Vibrating mascara-
This mascara vibrates 7,000 times per stroke! I use it without the vibration first to coat my lashes and then I press down the vibration. Pressing down on the vibration while putting on your mascara can be a little awkward but with the vibration I like how it looks. They look pulled up and lots of volume and a little bit of length. The brush is thin but not to thin, just enough to grab all the lashes ( even the little ones). It does OK so I give this mascara a half thumbs up.

2. The Rocket Volume Express Mascara.
I love the wand on this mascara. Maybelline has done a fantastic job! It keeps my lashes up with volume. The wand is slightly chunky but not to the point were you end up getting mascara over your lid or nose. My advice is wait until its dried up a little bit, I don't know why but when I first got this mascara it was to wet and I couldn't work with it. After letting it get a little dried up, I now can work with it fine! Thumbs up!

3. Mega Plush Volume Express Mascara.
I am unsure about this mascara. I feel the wand is to light and flimsy for me. The brush is to soft and stubby. It grabs my lashes and gives them length but not a lot and not a lot of volume. I would say if your running out the door to somewhere quick and your not wearing a lot of makeup then apply this! Half thumbs because at least it did some length.

Soap and glory mascara!

Thick & Fast super volume mascara.
The wand is a nice size and has nice brushes BUT it does nothing for me! Its to dry + ends up clumping up my lashes. When I put the mascara back in the tube to pick up more product, the brush kept picking up clumps and it was going all over my lashes. I saw no ' super volume' not even a little bit of volume. I saw no length.Don't like this mascara thumbs down!

Rimmel Mascara!

 Day 2 night mascara.
This mascara has a wand for Length, and a wand for Volume. So you can achieve two different looks by using one or the other or achieve fabulous long volumized lashes by using both of the wands. The Length wand gets all my lashes and gives them length without clumping. The volume wand pulls my lashes up and gives them great volume. The wands are not to thin or thick, They don't give me clumpy or spider lashes. The brush is soft but not to flimsy soft, gives great height and volume. Thumbs up!!

Benefit Mascara!

They're real Mascara.
I must be the only one who does not like this mascara!!! Its way to wet and messy even when I leave it to dry up. It clumps up my lashes and gives them NO volume just a little bit of length. I can't use it because its to wet to use and I end up getting it all over my lids and nose. The brush looks excellent but it does not help my lashes. Thumbs down!

L'Oreal mascara.

Telescopic mascara ( gold packaging )
I have left the best till last! Oh I love this mascara it is my holy grail mascara and I always recommend it to everyone. It has a thin brush which grabs every single lash. Its not to wet or to dry. It gives my lashes a ton of length and some volume. This mascara is more for length rather than focusing on the volume but it still gives good volume. For my lashes I need the length more than big volume so that is why this mascara is great for me.  I repurchase this mascara when I have used it up and will continue repurchasing it. BIG thumbs up!!!!

That is my little mascara collection/review. I hope I was not repetitive but when talking about mascara's there is only so much you can say and only so much you look for right? I hope you had a good read and please tell me some mascara's you use/hate.

My Mum's Blog! ♥ Sassy little nails.

Hello! Today I am doing a post about my wonderful Mum's blog. I am extremely proud of her so I wanted to share her blog on my blog.

My mum is called Dawn! She is a stunning women with a heart of love and a warming personality. She will always make me smile and laugh and feel safe just like a mother should do. She has a love for nails and beauty but mainly nails. Honestly she has over 100 polishes but she is in-denial about it. She loves to spend her day doing what she does best, her nail art! I am not just saying this because she is my mum but she has a fabulous talent. My mum has always had an artistic flair, she watches tutorials, reads blogs and step by steps about nail art and sometimes beauty However my mum is not a nail technician or professional just self taught!  In July 2013 when I started blogging I wanted my mum to be apart of the wonderful community and to have a project that she will love and be proud of so I asked her about starting her own blog and that is were the idea of Sassy little nails happened.

My mum started her own blog in September 2013. She decided to name it Sassy Little Nails because of our cat Sassy- Who died in September 2011 from breast cancer. Sassy was the baby of our house, but especially my mums baby, they cuddled and had a special connection when she passed away it took a toll on my mum. Each day she misses her and she thought in honor of Sassy she would name her blog after her ( very sweet indeed ) I am VERY proud of how well my mum has come with her blog, already she has 80 followers and that number will go higher! Her fabulous nail art has got her in a magazine!! and various companies have sent her products to review on her blog. Sassy little Nails is a success and I love how my mum is proud of herself and her blog!

Here is some of her nail art....

Even though she has created her blog mainly for nails she does do the odd beauty and other things. She has amazing feedback from people and she does challenges from blogging groups.  This post was just to say how much I love my mum and how proud I am of her blog. If you could pop over to it and follow or send her a message that would be lovely. I love you mum <3! Xxxx
