My favourite skincare products at the moment ♥

I love skincare, I love talking about it, I love shopping for it, I love using skin products so I decided to do a post on my favorite skin care products at the moment. I have so many skin care products that I use every once in a while so I am just going to talk about what I love at this moment. I hope you enjoy reading!!

Cleansers.

My all time favorite cleanser is Purity one step facial cleanser by Philosophy. This is for all skin types and will not clog your pores and also it won't strip your skin from its natural oils, it's actually going to put oil back into your skin because it has natural oils init. It's a one step facial cleanser because it's going to cleanse your skin, remove makeup including eye makeup and tone your face with just one formula. It's very gentle on the skin and eyes and can be applied to dry or damp skin. I use this morning and night, it's an amazing cleanser that really takes away any speck of makeup and dirt. It's perfect for everybody.

For days when my skin needs soothing and calming I use Murad Soothing gel cleanser. If your skin is breaking out, producing redness and inflammation you need this cleanser. This cleanses away dirt and bacteria, soothes and calms skin and helps with any redness and inflammation. This is super soft and moisturizing and helps so much with any breakouts and irritated skin.  It has moisturizing beads to restore moisture and softness, also peppermint and berry leaf extracts to help with inflammation.  It smells soothing and feels soothing and cooling.

Exfoliating washes.

Most of the time I use MicroDelivery Exfoliating facial wash by Philosophy. This is for all skin types and gentle enough to use daily. It's not to abrasive but is gritty so you do get a good scrub. My skin feels softer, cleaner and brighter.

I also have been recently using the Olay total effects self heating exfoliate. This is amazing!!! It has warming micro crystals and is a 7 in 1 exfoliate. It brightens, improves texture and smoothness, exfoliates, removes dirt and makeup and helps the appearance of pores.  You splash your face with water, apply this to your skin using circular movements at that point you feel a slight warm feeling, then you apply more water to get the full thermal experience. I must put your mind at rest and tell you this does not burn or get to hot, it's basically just warm. It feels so soothing and it exfoliates well without being harsh on the skin.

Beauty Oil, Moisturizers and eye cream.

I love Origins GinZing energy boosting moisturizer. The scent of this first of all makes me so happy and it's pretty addictive.  The scent is pure oranges that makes you crave an orange slush! This feels super hydrating to the skin, it is a thick moisturizer but not too heavy. You can apply it Am and Pm and it's not sticky or greasy. I have noticed my skin is brightening with this moisturizer so it must have vitamin c so that is always a great thing. My skin feels amazing with this moisturizer.

Clarins Daily Energizer Cream is another favorite of mine. Its a thick moisturizer but very silky. It gives the skin a little glow but not oily just brighter and a little tiny glow, and feels baby soft! This cream gives my skin hydration and a perfect base for when I apply my makeup. I use this as a day cream rather than a night. I love the scent, it smells very womanly and grown up but not a grandma scent!

My favorite beauty oil is Balm Balm 100% organic little miracle rose serum. This is for all skin types, and its natural and organic. The scent is so girly, it's pure roses but not to overpowering or sickly. This is going to be used in conjunction with your normal moisturizer. It's a thick oil but won't make you look like a grease chicken and if your skin is very dry, it will drink this oil up so quickly. This oil has improved the texture of my skin and also I notice I don't produce as much oil and breakouts when I use it.

For eye cream there is only one that I love which does not irritate and sting my eyes and that is Kiehls creamy eye treatment with avocado oils.  This is made to hydrate, brighten and de puff the eyes. It has such an amazing brightening effect that gives the eyes a natural luminous glow. It has saved my eyes from dryness and puffiness and does a fabulous job for tired eyes. It has a scent of avocado ( of course ) but the fragrance does not bother my eyes at all.

Masks.

Lush mask of magnanimity is my all time favorite mask! This is so minty it's gorgeous! It has peppermint oil which will stimulate the skin, it helps with dark spots, break outs and it's also a scrub. So you apply it to your skin, leave it on to dry and then when your washing it off you scrub your face with it. Its not at all harsh or to abrasive. You can put this in your fridge and then apply it to your skin for a much more intense mask if you wanted to that is optional. This pulls out every dirt and bacteria from your skin and you can feel it doing so.  You feel a cooling, minty, stimulating feeling which is incredible. You feel every nasty stuff and toxins are coming out of your skin. It has the most amazing mint scent but I will tell you it is intense, so if you don't like peppermint you won't like this. I love it so much, my skin looks clean, no breakouts have happened, if I did have any they dried up, my skin feels refreshed and ah just beautiful.

Murad clarifying mask is also on my favorites. I use this more when I need to take everything out and start again with my skin because it does help more with breakouts and blemishes and it clarifies the skin.  I don't think this has a scent to it because I don't smell one. It's a soft mask and dries really quickly. It pulls so much out from your pores, and makes your skin feel baby soft. It sucks everything out and gives you a fresh start which everybody needs to do at least once a week to just pull out everything and start again.  There is not much of a feeling when it's drying, just a tightening feeling. It's a mask I recommend :D

Cream Cleanser

After I have taken my makeup off with wipes, or Micellar water I like to use a cream cleanser. I love using Oil of Aloe Vitamin E creme. This gets deep down and takes off any speck of makeup and dirt. Its moisturizing and for all skin types. It feels luxurious and soft and leave my skin looking cleaner and baby soft. Its one of my favorite products to use as I am taking makeup off because it feels so pampering.  The scent is like a luxurious spa scent and the cream is not greasy or sticky. I love this and have been using it for years as a makeup remover extra step.

That is my favorite skincare products at the moment. I hope you had a good read and let me know what skincare products you are loving at the moment... :D

Spring/Summer eyes! ♥

Hello girls! So today I thought it would be nice to show you what eye make-up look I have been wearing and loving. This look really suits the spring/summer. These colours are going to look great on everybody's eye colour especially brown eyes. If I show a make-up look I try and make sure every eye colour can wear it because I like every girl to feel they can take this look and create it, or get ideas from it. I hope you enjoy reading! Xx

Firstly like always prime time! I use Urban Decay Primer Potion all over my lid with my finger, You can use a concealer which I do most of the time, you just need something to cover the base of your eye, and something that your eye shadow will stick to.

I then start off with my crease colour, I use the Naked 1 palette and the shade Naked! This is just a skin tone shade. I sweep that back and forth with a fluffy brush in my crease. I then take the colour Buck which is a soft brown shade from the Naked Palette and sweep that back and forth in my crease. This is a transition shade and also creating a blown out look.

I move onto my lid and I use Maybelline colour tattoo in the colour on and on bronze. These Colour Tattoo's are the best! They are perfect to blend, very creamy and are pigmented like crazy. I take this on my finger and press it onto my lid, Once I feel I have enough I blend it out with a clean brush. I press it onto my lid because I feel it's way more easier and you get more pigment.

I like to add more bronze to my lid so I go back to the Naked palette and use Smog which is a golden bronze shade. I take it on a brush and pat it onto my lid, patting the Urban Decay shadows onto your lid will create less fall out and more pigment.

Taking a clean fluffy brush I go back in my crease with the Naked and Buck shade and blend blend blend...

I like to add a white in my tear duct to create more of a ' open eye effect' so I use NYX jumbo eye pencil in the colour milk. To highlight my brow bone I use marylou manizer by the Balm.

I do my mascara and liner and then move onto my lower lash line!

I take a black pencil and line my water line.  Then I use a flat top brush and Revlon Silver Fox Palette, I use the mint green shade and sweep it back and forth under my lashes taking up meeting where a cat eye flick would be. This mint shade is so pretty, it brings so much attention to the eyes. I then take a aqua shade I am using NYX 78 colour palette, the blue shade's in this palette are beautiful. I sweep that back and forth under the eyes. The mint and aqua shade will bring everything together and work very beautifully together.

That is the final eye look! I feel it is very summer/spring appropriate with the golden bronze on the lid, and mint greeny blue on the bottom :D I hope you enjoyed reading and please let me know in the comments make-up looks you are loving! Xx

Beauty oils + oily/acne prone skin tips ♥

I have been obsessed with beauty oils, so for this post I wanted to talk to you about them but before I start I just wanted to give you some tips on oily/acne prone skin because what most people will do when they hear ' beauty oils' or ' moisturizer' is stay away from them because they are so oily already the thought of putting any oil onto the skin freaks them out but that is where people go wrong... so please step into my little science class for just a moment.

What most people do when they have oily/acne prone skin is they start stripping away the skin thinking that is going to stop the oil and acne. So they avoid any hydration on the skin like moisturizers and beauty oils. This is a big NO No for anybody who has that skin type and any skin type in general. here is the science'y part.

Our bodies respond to whatever we are doing to it, when your body gets its natural oils it needs stripped away it freaks out,you have basically drained all your natural oils your body produces and needs.  Your sebum glands will be put on full steam and start to over produce oil. This causes your skin to become more oily than normal and more acne prone. What most people need to know is Oil combats oil!! You need to moisturize, you need to hydrate your skin, you need to not strip the oil your skin needs. Applying a moisturizer or beauty oil will combat the oil, stopping your sebum glands over producing the oil. Your skin will start thinking oh we are getting oil so we don't need to produce so much. Also don't over exfoliate your face, most people when they see a pimple they start scrubbing and scrubbing with harsh products. This will irritate your skin making it red and spreading the oil around creating more and more break outs. Exfoliate at least 3 times a week ( every other day ) and use a cleanser with enzymes that will naturally and gently exfoliate.
The rest I think you already know like cleanse and wash every day, take your makeup off every day and just look after your skin. Your face is the first thing people notice, you apply make-up to your skin, you need the base to be flawless and then you will have great make-up days :D now onto my beauty oil obsession ...

Ever since I tried many samples of Kiehl's midnight recovery serum I fell in love with beauty oils, I wanted to try them all. I came across The Balm Balm rose beauty oil. I have now been using it for about 2 weeks and I love it. First it smells so girly and amazing, just pure roses!! The rose scent is not irritable or over powering. It feels luxurious and makes your skin feel beautiful and soft.
This oil is 100% natural and organic, its amazing for any age and skin type. Its a thick oil but also lightweight so it will not make you look like a grease chicken. It dries into the skin after about 20 minutes. If you apply a thin, thin layer it can be applied in the morning time but I'd give it about half an hour before applying any make-up. I apply it at night about 2 hours before bed because I like to apply a good layer and let it soak and sink into my skin. My skin loves this oil, it soaks it in really well and I have notice I'm not oily during the next day. My skin feels very smooth, soft and glowing when I wake up the next morning, My skin feels moisturized and well hydrated. The scent of roses makes you feel more luxurious and girly.

I hope this post was not to long, and it helped some of you.. and hopefully you love beauty oils and will try some. :D

I'm back to blogging + Murad reviews! ♥

Hello! I am finally back from my little break from blogging! I explained why I was taking a break in my last post HERE . I have missed blogging so I'm back to business. For this post I have a Murad review. I love this company, I think the skincare products are really nice and have been beneficial for my skin. I also wanted to mention Sarah who is the lady who I am currently working with as a blogger reviewer for Murad. Sarah is so lovely and sweet and extremely helpful. I just wanted to mention her because she has been amazing and I am so glad to be working with her. Also even though I am a blogger reviewer for Murad all opinions are my own. I will never have a dishonest post just because I am getting sent products. My reviews are 100% my own and truthful. Now Onto the reviews :D

Murad Soothing Gel Cleanser. * price - £27.00 *

This smells amazing!!!! It smells very soothing so I can see where the name 'soothing' has come from because it smells very soothing and feels very soothing. The scent is Fresh/Soothing/Peppermint/Cucumber, its not overpowering which is good but does smell so good! This feels very soft on the skin which I love because my skin is sensitive and I hate any cleanser or wash that is to ruff on the skin. I was having a bit of a break out one week, my skin needed to be soothed and calmed so I washed my face with this cleanser and I noticed how redness, tightness and the spots went down! my skin felt very calm and soothed which really makes me happy and I try and save this cleanser for days where my skin needs that soothing and calming cleanser. Also my skin has been dry more than oily lately and when I use this gel cleanser my skin feels hydrated and I no longer have dry areas on my skin. This cleanser makes my skin feel soothed when I am washing it, after washing my skin feels fresh and clean, looks brighter and clear and also feels very soft. I love this, its gentle and does not irritate my eyes or skin, I recommend it!!!

Oh this has to be the best toner I have ever used!! Now because my skin has been on the dryer side lately I have needed more hydrating products so this hydrating toner has been giving my skin that extra hydration it has been needing. This has been so nice to use every night and morning and has been very hydrating to my skin. It also smells Soooooo lovely, very calming but also fresh! I love how it is a spray rather than applying it to a cotton pad. It's also nice to just refresh your skin with :) It soaks in quick and feels amazing.

Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture * Price - £64.00 *
This moisturizer is super rich and thick. So I apply it in the night time because it's thick, in the day time you want a lighter moisturizer.
This moisturizer has helped my skin become a lot more hydrated and soft. It's a tiny bit on the greasy side but its not at all to oily. Its nice to have a thick, thick moisturizer when my skin needs that hydration and moisture. I feel my skin is moisturized all night, even when I wake up my skin still feels moisturized and soft! It feels very luxurious and smells of shea butter and a little fruity which is lovely. I have noticed the texture of my skin has improved as well as the tone of my skin! Great moisturizer!!
