Philosophy reviews. ❤

Hey girls! I have a Philosophy review for you. I have been in love with the company and want to try everything, I got in touch with them and asked if they could send me any samples to review on my blog, I got a lovely yes from the amazing Fiona and I tried and reviewed them samples here is the link to that blog post http://makeupwithkimmy.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/philosophy-reviews.html. A few days ago Fiona kindly sent me some more samples to review on my blog. I am so appreciative of her sending me things to try out and I thank you Fiona from the bottom of my heart! I'm over the moon to be working with your company reviewing your amazing products.
I tried the samples and wrote notes there an then, and before I knew it I was ready to do my reviews on my blog here we go...

The Microdelivery Exfoliating facial wash.
When I saw this in the parcel I received I was over the moon. I got sent this the first time I got samples of Philosophy and I did a review on them samples.http://makeupwithkimmy.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/philosophy-reviews.html
I loved it, it gave my skin a great scrub it needed but not harsh. When I washed my face with this for a 2nd time I fell even more in love with it. It just gets the junk out of your face and makes it so soft and clean. There is no dry skin left, its all nicely and gently scrubbed. The scent was fine, just like a normal face wash ( to hard to describe sorry) It was very quick and easy to wash off and to apply.  My face felt like it had a deep little exfoliating wash which was nice. I recommend 100%.

Hope in a jar night cream.
When I saw this it was in a little tube not in a packet sample which was a nice surprise. When I saw the name of the product I got nervous because I already had a sample of the Hope in a jar cream and did not like the scent, it was so chemically and overpowering. To my surprise I actually enjoy using this tube of cream, there is NO scent to it I found which I was happy about. The cream was very creamy and a little thick which made a amazing moisturizer and this would be a great cream for people with dry skin because its not to thick but thick enough for a nice moisturizer. I liked how it dried in quick and a little bit went a long way I still have lots left in the tube. For a night time cream I think this is excellent I would happily buy this for someone or myself. It gives a nice feel to the skin, not greasy or to coated. I was impressed and recommend.

Eye hope Eye Cream.
I was so excited to try out an eye cream from this amazing company. When I put it on my eyes the first thing was how thick it was. I thought to myself its to thick for an eye cream! It took forever to dry in and I was not impressed by the scent, it was a funny very weird not a scent I would put in an eye cream. It was that thick I even got my mum to try it out on her eyes and she said its way to thick and the scent was putting her off.  I am sorry to say this was not a good product for me. The scent and thickness was the biggest disappointment. On the other hand it did not irritate my eyes it was gentle so if you wanted to try this out it did not irritate mine or my mums eyes. So thats a good point about this eye cream.

That is my review completed  I loved using the Exfoliating facial wash again and I was so happy I loved the hope in a jar night cream. So disappointed with the eye cream but never mind at least it did not irritate my eyeballs! Thank you again Fiona I am so grateful!!

Mascara Fail!❤

Hey beauties. I bought Revlon Lash Potion mascara a few weeks ago and I wanted to share my thoughts and reviews on it. I have to say this mascara had a little bit of a hype around youtube so as always I wanted to try it for myself. I picked it up in Superdrug for £9.99 I know a little over priced right? but I had to, I am a makeup addict what can I say :)
picture off superdrug website

What I thought of the packaging!
My first thought when I saw this on youtube was how pretty it looked, So girly and colourful. When I seen it in Superdrug it was more glossy and the colours were pretty. It would look pretty in a makeup bag or on your beauty shelf at home. It really stood out and I think that's what happened with a lot of people the packaging caught peoples eye. ( well done Revlon for excellent packaging )

What I thought about the brush and application!
I took the brush out of the tube and I noticed the brush was not thin like the L'Oreal telescopic mascara. It was a big brush which kind of threw me off a bit because big brushes always are a fuss with me, they get a bit messy. When I applied it to my lashes I got mascara all over my lid ( the big brush's fault ) I found the mascara was so wet and hard to apply. When I brush my lashes with this mascara it feels to big to do the job. I cant get in the corner because the brush is to big, I cant go on my bottom lashes because I end up getting mascara all over my cheeks and face. The mascara was to wet and thick, I knew it was going to make my lashes clump.

How did my lashes feel and look?
My lashes felt horrible. Very wet and clumpy, I had lashes sticking together. I saw no volume or lift to my lashes which was disappointing. My lids had more mascara on than my lashes. No matter how heavy or light you go with this it makes your lashes stick together and it creates spider lashes. Its not a nice look you want to achieve.

Overall opinion?
NO NO NO! just a terrible mascara for me. It does not work, I can't work with it. Very clumpy, Very messy and very thick. The packaging is the only thing I like about it. SO sad Revlon!!!

What do you girls think about the Revlon Lash potion mascara? Does it work for your lashes or do you have the same problem as me!? let me know in the comments. Xxx

Three products I am loving at the moment ❤

At the moment I am loving three products I want to share. They are all skin care because recently I have been more interested in skin care than other things. I am going through a faze of loving skin care and wanting to try all different products. Here is what I recommend and love at the moment...

Philosophy Purity Made Simple face cleanser.
Oh wow! I can't get enough of this. If you seen my blog posts you will know since I got samples of Philosophy I have been in love with the purity cleanser. My skin benefits so much from using this. Its very gentle even for eyes. It takes dirt and makeup off and cleanses my skin. It is a eye makeup remover cleanser and toner in one. Pretty cool huh?! Its formulated for all skin types, does not break me out or irritate my skin. It feels like heaven so silky and ahhh amazing I loves it.

Bioderma.
I seen this around youtube but never been that interested in it. Until I received it in this months BirchBox. I poured some onto a cotton pad, pressed it on my eyes for 10 seconds and wiped off my eye makeup. I was so surprised with how easy and quick my eye makeup came off with one wipe. Waterproof mascara gone. Eye Shadow gone. Eyeliner gone. All with one wipe-ONE WIPE!!! haha. Its just what I need, for days I want quick and easy makeup remover. Its so gentle too!

Johnson's Baby oil
Now we all know Baby oil is the gentlest thing you can buy so I thought about using it for my face, I have been using this nearly every night on my face and its made a difference in the feel and look of my skin. What I do is mix it with my night time moisturizer. It makes the smoothest moisturizer ever. Not greasy or to oily. It also calms down redness and makes my face feel soft and looks healthy. Try it with your moisturizer its amazing. ❤ The picture is off google since I am dosy and forgot to take a picture.
What have you been loving recently??!

My first Empties!

Empties number one.
Hey everyone, So I am going to do my very first EMPTIES!! I am sure that everyone has heard of an empties but for those that have not I will let you know. Empties are showing people what you have used up, you can then give better reviews because you have used the product all up and know for sure what opinion you have on it. It's basically sharing my beauty related rubbish with you all!
I thought it would be good to organize it in sections so its much more easier to read.
let's see what is in my empties...

Skincare:

L'Oreal Triple Active cleansing wipes.
These are great makeup wipes, they take off all my makeup with 2 wipes. I started using these mainly for my eyes because I found they took waterproof mascara off quick and easy without any irritation. I have had no break outs or problems with these makeup wipes I would repurchase and recommend!
L'Oreal Triple Active cleansing wipes.

Neutrogena Pink grapefruit oil free moisturizer
So sad this is all used up! This was my favorite moisturizer for my face. Not only was the scent of it heavenly  (grapefruit ) The feeling it gave my face when I applied it was amazing. It would give a tingle and a cooling feeling, I knew then it was doing great for my skin and it did. It was not a thick moisturizer but it was not watery either it was just right and creamy. Soft and quick to dry in my face I loved it and used it till I could not get any tiny bit out. I would repurchase and recommend!
Neutrogena Pink grapefruit oil free moisturizer

Neutrogena Pink grapefruit daily scrub.
So you have just read me being in love with the moisturizer, I am now going to tell you I was in love with the daily scrub too! I loved the scent of the grapefruit moisturizer so I had to get the rest of the products. This scrub has nice big beads in it that does not feel at all harsh, it gently scrubs the face well and leaves my skin soft and clean. I would repurchase and recommend!
Neutrogena Pink grapefruit daily scrub.

Spa Deep cleansing facial wipes.
I feel good I am throwing these away because I did not like these, they did not take my makeup off quick or easy, it took me about 4 wipes to take one side of my face off not including my eye makeup. When I got to my eye makeup they started to irritate my eyes making them itchy and a little bit red. They also broke me out on my forehead! They dried up quick and smelt annoying like strong gone off soap. I would not repurchase and would not recommend!
Spa Deep cleansing facial wipes.

Bath and Body:

Along came Betty Bubble bath.
I loved this bubble bath! It made big bubbles that lasted a long time, the bubbles felt soft and playful. The smell was lemony and soothing which left my bath smelling amazing and feeling moisturized . I enjoyed using the bubble bath and sad to let it go. I would repurchase and recommend!
Along came Betty Bubble bath.

Sanctuary Body Scrub.
This was halfy half for me, I loved the scent which was very soothing and fruity. It smelt of oranges and soothing spa oils. I also liked how gentle it was, I did not feel I was scrubbing my skin off but I did not like how the scrub felt. It felt to gentle, I did not feel I was giving my skin that buff and exfoliate it needed. I think this is a great product if your looking for a very gentle tiny exfoliate  If your looking to buff your dead skin away don't turn to this. I did enjoy the scent and I did enjoy using it when I wanted a tiny buff.  I will not be repurchasing but I would recommend!
Sanctuary Body Scrub.

Original Source Vanilla and Raspberry shower wash.
I could smell this all day long, It smells of cakes and sweets and yummy things! I don't have any complaints, it does its job and cleans me well, I think a lot of people like this and I am one of them. The smell is amazing that I added some with my conditioner on the ends of my hair :) I would repurchase and recommend!
Original Source Vanilla and Raspberry shower wash

Hair:

Schwarzkopf Super soft Coconut shampoo & Conditioner.
I love washing my hair in the shampoo it feels so luxurious and clean. The scent of coconut lingers in my hair even after blow drying/styling.It gives my hair a good clean and leaves it looking glossy. The conditioner keeps my ends in good condition and leaves them feeling soft and smelling amazing. There is other scents but coconut is the best! I would repurchase and recommend!

Batiste dry shampoo Fruity and cheeky cherry scent.
I feel everyone and their mothers know about batiste and that's because its so good. When my hair is getting oily, or I am feeling I need added volume this dry shampoo does the job. Just spray it, leave it for 3 mins then rub it in and brush through and boom you have refreshed hair that has some body. The cherry scent is my favorite. I would repurchase and recommend!
Batiste dry shampoo Fruity and cheeky cherry scent.

Makeup:
Max Factor face finity 3 in 1 foundation.
I use this every single day if I am wearing makeup. It gives me excellent coverage,  lasts all day without re touching and does not cake up. I think this gives the skin beautiful coverage hiding any spots or blemishes without taking the natural skin look away. My mum has now got into this foundation and she is loving it too! I would repurchase and recommend!
Max Factor face finity 3 in 1 foundation

Maybelline Dream lumitouch highlighting concealer.
I enjoyed how this worked under my eyes, giving me brighter under eyes and hiding those dark bags but I found I used this up very quick. I used this up in a week it was so sad. I didn't go heavy on it and did not use it every single day and it already ran out. So because of how quick it ran out I will not repurchase or recommend.
Maybelline Dream lumitouch highlighting concealer.

Benefit bad gal lash mascara. ( image is off google because the lettering was rubbed off mine)
Amazing mascara!!! I loved how it give my lashes some volume and length. It was a great mascara to use and I am sad I have no more. It lasted ages and did not dry up! Its just a simple mascara that does a fantastic little job on the lashes. I would repurchase and recommend!
Benefit bad gal lash mascara

Avon Super Curlacious mascara.( image is off google because the lettering was rubbed off mine)
I liked this mascara, it pulled the lashes and separated them. I saw volume without clumping. For Avon it was a great mascara that I used up till it dried out. It lasted me a while and created volumeized and lengthened lashes I would repurchase and recommend!
Avon Super Curlacious mascara.

So that completes my first ever empties!! I am thankful if you girls read it till the end because I know it was long.

I smelt this in Boots and it was such a sweet, fresh scent. I love the Apple one and the red one. Its that clean fresh scent, that makes me want it so much!!

6.Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado
I really want a new eye cream and I have been hearing about this for so long. It says its gentle and creamy and helps the eye area become moisturized. It is pricey so I don't think I will buy ASAP but its hanging on my wish list.

7.A new eye lash curler.
I am not picky on eye lash curlers, I pick up the cheapest one. I don't care about what brand its from speaking of brands I saw in a magazine a eye lash curler from Bobbi Brown £20.00 :O I would not pay £20 for an eye lash curler. Anyway back on subject I am in need of a new eye lash curler since mine is going rusty and I am noticing it grabs my eyelashes so much. ( ouchy)

Beauty tips and tricks.

Beauty tricks that are great to know for everyday.

Hey girls. So I thought about doing a blog post on a few little tips and tricks I have used and loved.

1. Blush and Chap stick.
When you wake up and get ready you must notice your lips have not got much colour in them or when you want a light colour on your lips nothing heavy this is a great thing to do. Get a chap stick and a blush colour you want to use. Rub some blush on your finger and then onto the chap stick you will see the colour on the chap stick and then apply to your lips and you have nice pinky lips looking natural.

2. A Plastic bag and moisturizer.
When your feet are feeling very ruff and you can see dead skin,Or you need to pamper your feet, This is a great thing to do. Grab a good moisturizer and massage it in your feet for a couple of minutes. Take a plastic bag and wrap it around your feet, walking with the plastic bag will be dangerous because it will be slippy with the moisturizer so I suggest you do this at night time. Leave the bag on for a couple of hours or all night and you will see a difference in your skin on your feet. They will be very moisturized and your dead skin will be gone.

3. Exfoliate your lips+Homemade lip scrub.
All you need to do to exfoliate your lips is take your toothbrush wet it and gently scrub your lips. Or you can take a flannel wet it and gently scrub. You can even make your own sugar lip scrub by taking olive oil and sugar, put a tiny bit of sugar and a tablespoon of olive oil into a bowl, you will want more sugar than oil. Stir until it makes a paste consistency. Then scrub it on your lips and rinse off. The sugar is going to exfoliate gently and the oil will moisturize. You can also use this as a body scrub just do a lot more for your body. This is natural and items we all have in our kitchen.

4.  Vaseline Trick to help out with shoes rubbing.
Them nights out and your feet are so sore with blisters because of them gorgeous but painful high heels. This will help your feet so much it really works. So all you need is the good old Vaseline dip your finger into it and then rub it on your feet where you know your shoes will rub and hurt. Don't make it to thick where your foot will slip. The Vaseline will act as a barrier and keep them nasty blisters at bay. This is also good for people who are on their feet at work or shopping. Give it ago, It works!

5.Mascara fix.
This is for them times where you get mascara on your lid or nose and you do not want to mess up your makeup. Your first reaction will be to rub it off quickly but that will cause it to smudge or leave a black shadow. You need to wait until it drys then take a cotton bud and rub gently, you will see how easy and quick it comes out without leaving anything behind.

6. A business card trick.
If you are struggling to get your V shape with your eyeshadow all you need to do is take a business card or a piece of card and line it up with your eyebrow to the corner of your eye. This will guide you and you will know where you need to put your eyeshadow. I do this when I struggle to get that shape sometimes and it really helps and guides me. You can also use this trick to get a great contour for your cheekbones. Line the card to the top of your ear and go down in an angle you will then see where your cheekbone starts and where you need to put your bronzer.

I love these tricks and they do work and make life a little easier!
