Best Of Beauty 2016

Hey Everyone and welcome to my best of beauty 2016!! This is a round up of all my holy grail products of 2016 and ones I reached for the most this year. This is all make-up products but I am thinking of doing a post all on the best of beauty body and skincare edition soon.

Primer:
Lancome L.A base Pore Eraser- I discovered this product this year and I use now every time I wear make-up for minimizing pores, blurring out the skin and fine lines and giving a really nice smooth base. I find it's also slightly hydrating not as dry as some pore erasers can be.
Becca Backlight Filtering Primer: This does not fill pores or smooth the skin instead it hydrates and adds such a healthy looking glow to the skin. Basically bringing it to life, removing the dullness and dryness feeding the skin moisture and bringing a healthy glow back to the skin. I have been loving that this year.

Foundation:
Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation: I received this for my Birthday 2015 but fell in love with it 2016. This is such a beautiful, luxurious foundation that adds radiance, hydration but yet gives a matte finish. This is long wearing, full coverage but yet natural looking. I always get compliments on my skin when I wear this foundation because it's makes the skin look glowly and glamorous... Well duh its Chanel!

Blush and Highlight:
Becca Blush " FlowerChild":I love this blush so much, the formula is amazing, super creamy and pigmented I mean seriously a little bit goes along way and the way this blush lays on the skin is so pretty. Flowerchild is a rosy pink with warm undertones and a light dusting of a gold shimmer which is so pretty to bring a highlight on the cheeks and a natural glowing from within look.
Milani " Luminoso" Blush: This is one I used alot in 2016. So rich and pigmented and the colour is so pretty. A peachy pink shade with a slight golden shimmer. This colour and the way it lays on the skin makes my skin look a little more youthful and alive.
The Balm Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter: Marylou is my ride or die highlighter but in 2016 I was on a roll wearing this and the next highlighter I am going to mention, I was switching back and forth between the two. Marylou is a stunning vanilla, champagne highlighter that lays so smooth on the skin, blends so nice and is super pigmented.
Becca " Opal" Highlighter: I have had my eye on this for a long time and I finally got it for my Birthday this year and I have been so in love with it. Again super pigmented like all Becca products and so creamy. This highlight gives a slight wet highlight look which is super sexy and looks like you have been taking your vitamins, it gives a healthy sheen to the skin. The colour is an iridescent cool beige sheen with a slight gold.

Eyes:
Palettes, Mascara & Liners:
Maybelline The Nudes Palette: I have just been grabbing this palette the most this year. Its so pigmented for drugstore and I love the shades in the palette. 12 Shades shimmer to matte, warm beige's, bronze, taupe and nudes. Such an easy to use palette..
Naked 2 Palette: My Naked 1 will never leave my side but I have been reaching for 2 this year a lot. This palette is super pigmented of course because its Urban Decay. Gorgeous shades to create smokey effects, dramatic or natural with naked tones, grey, browns, glittery coppers, golds and a blackest black. I've been loving the shades snakebite, tease and chopper.
Victoria's Secret Eye liner: This was in an eye palette I got and I have been none stop using this eye liner. It's super creamy and rich, Super soft and easy to apply but more importantly it stays glued on the waterline all day and night without gathering up and getting gloopy or runny. That to me is the most important thing when it comes to eyeliners because I find that throughout the day most of them just start to disappear or turn gloopy in the tear duct but this Victoria's Secret eyeliner does not move!
L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Volume Mascara: L'Oreal are my favorite mascara's in general and this year I tried The L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Volume Mascara and I will never look back. My lashes look so fluffy, lifted and thicker. The mascara glides on without being to wet or dry and it has been designed to not clump or flake. This mascara does what it says, Volumes, conditions and thickens.

Lips:
Lipstick + Lipgloss
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream: I loved these this year, I started up a little collection! They are super affordable but high quality. The name suits them well because they are so soft and creamy even though they are matte. The matte does not dry my lips, or dry during the day they are long lasting, pigmented and creamy. Very comfortable to wear and I love the shades they have!
Maybelline Baby lips Gloss: These are so nice to have in your purse or days when you are not doing alot of make-up and you want something moisturizing and glossy with a little tint. These are super moisturizing and glossy with a sheer tint in all different shades. They also smell really nice and sweet.
MAC lipsticks:I feel the end of this year was the time I fell in love with MAC lipsticks. I have been grabbing a few to start up a collection. I love Velvet Teddy and Ruby Woo at the moment. They are so creamy, soft and pigmented.

Setting Sprays:
Avon Setting Spray:I have been loving this setting spray more than my NYX or Clarins setting sprays. Its super lightweight and fast drying. It is so refreshing and hydrating on the skin because it is infused with Vitamins A, C and E. Most importantly it makes my make-up stay and last longer. You can feel it gripping onto your make-up, it really keeps everything in place and gives my skin a lovely glow.

Feeling Festive Christmas Tag!

I am in such a Christmas mood right now, wearing Christmassy pjs, listening to Christmas music and I was watching Christmas tags on youtube which made me want to do one on my blog. I pulled different questions from Christmas tags and put them together. Let's get more festive and talk all about Christmas xox

1. Favorite Christmas smell or candle?

A Christmas candle I love is the Bath&BodyWorks " Tis the season" Candle. It smells of Christmas spices,Rich red apples, green pine, golden cider and Sweet Cinnamon Bark.

2. What tops your tree?
Our tree downstairs a father Christmas tops it. My tree in my room a snowman tops it. I was struggling to find a father Christmas tree topper that wasn't a ridiculous price so I ended up with a snowman and I kinda love it, because my tree is white so it goes so well.

3. Top 3 Christmas Movies and why? Go...
  • The Grinch-  It's a special little move because its part of my family Christmas eve tradition. I love everything about this movie, so funny, so Christmassy and gives you the Christmas feelings.
  • Elf-  A funny classic Christmas movie, its just one you have to watch every Christmas.
  • Arthur Christmas- A more modern day twist on Christmas and I love it. It keeps the Christmas magic but in a more modern realistic way.
  •
4. What is your favourtie Christmas food and drink?
I always look forward to drinking snowballs on and around Christmas. Snow balls are avocat, lemonade and lime. They are so Christmassy and so nice. for food I love pigs in blanket which are little sausages wrapped in bacon.

5. Favorite Christmas Colour?
I love red and green I think they are such classic Christmas colours but I also have been loving white Christmas themed decorations like White, silver and a pop of colour like blue or pink. I think that looks so winter wonderland.

6. Do you like to stay in your PJ's, or dress up for Christmas?
Mum and dad and I love staying in our pjs on Christmas day. Being so cosy, lazy and relaxed. Nothing better than eating till your tummy hurts with lounge wear on. But this year we will be dressing up for Christmas because we are spending it with family which will be so nice. I have reindeer antlers and Christmas attire for Christmas day this year.

7. How has Christmas kept its magic for you as you've grown older?
I think now I am older, Christmas is still so special and the feeling of Christmas is more meaningful. I think more of my family, spending time with them and more thoughtful on gifts and creating a loving happy Christmas. My mum and dad have kept the magic with Christmas by still doing our traditions. I think no matter how old you are Christmas will always be magical because of the little kid inside you.

8. White lights, or colored lights?
I do think there is a place for both, White lights look classier but I have to say Coloured are my favourtie because they are so fun and look so much more Christmassy than white lights.

9.  Which do you prefer Christmas Eve or Christmas day?
Christmas eve for sure because I think it feels so exciting and magical and we have our little Christmas eve traditions. Everything feels so festive and you can't beat the Christmas eve feeling. Christmas day is so nice and special but it feels a little bittersweet because you know Christmas is coming to an end.

10.Are you rocking the red lips if so what is your favorite red lipstick?
I actually have not rocked the red lips yet, but I will be very soon! I just bought Mac Ruby woo lipstick so I would have to say that.

11. Top 5 Christmas Songs.
Oh yes my favorite question, I love Christmas music so much.
  • All I want for Christmas is you- Mariah Carey
  • Proper Crimbo- Bo Slecta
  • Santa Baby- Kylie or The Pussycat dolls or Michael Buble
  • Christmas ( baby please come home ) - Michael Buble
  • Driving home for Christmas - Chris Rea
12. Are you watching Vlogmas on Youtube if so who?
Yes I am! Every year I look forward to Vlogmas because not only is it super fun to watch but I could be in no Christmas mood, I could be having a non Christmassy day but then I turn on a Vlogmas and all of a sudden I feel the Christmas vibes haha. Here are some I am watching...
 13. Right now as your answering these questions how long is it till Christmas?
It's the 18th so 6 days ahh So close.

My Christmas Gift Guide!

Hello Everyone! Its that post you have saw over and over but I think its so helpful to get ideas and we have all had that moment of panic when we realize Christmas Eve is on its way, closer than we thought and there is still one or two or five presents to get in. Whether you are shopping for your sister, mum or bestie I have lots of gift suggestions for those who are in need of some ideas!xo

Relax take a bath:

Lush or any other bath set: Lush do amazing gift sets especially around this time, their holiday products are so cute and so festive and they are all different price ranges. If you don't want to buy a lush gift, something from Soap and Glory, Dove or sanctuary are also really nice.
Candles or Essential Oils: To stick with the theme of relaxation a candle and essential oils is perfect! I LOVE essential oils, and I am obsessed with candles. Find out the person you are buying for what scents they like, is it sweet and sugary? homely and cosy?, maybe they are having sleeping issues so Lavender and Chamomile is the way to go, maybe they need more energy so something zesty.
Hand Cream: This is for the older, or dry skin people on your list! So many cute gift boxes for hand creams. L'Occitane and Soap and Glory are the ones I love the most. Dove and Olay for anti ageing, and EOS for the lovely scents.

Book Worms: For someone who loves reading will always appreciate a new book or series. Easy, beach type readers I recommend I heart Series by Lindsey Kelk and the Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella. Someone who enjoys a historical fiction novel may like any of Philippa Gregory books like The White Queen. Dystopian/Teen readers would enjoy Divergent or The Eye of Minds.

All That Sparkles: For the ladies that love something sparkly why not buy a genuine gemstone jewelry. My mum is obsessed with Gemporia, A T.V/website shopping channel that offers the most stunning, beautiful, stylish, affordable and most importantly genuine gemstone jewelry. Each purchase you receive a certificate of authenticity. Click me to go to the website

Collects Moments:

Canvas: I think a canvas with a beautiful painting, quotes or their favourtie places would be such a lovely gift. Or to make it even special, you can find a website that takes your social media account pictures and puts them on a canvas.
Mini Phone L.E.D Selfie Light: For the selfie lovers buying them a mini light that you plug into a phone is such a fun idea.
Phone Camera lens: To go with the L.E.D light, you can buy phone lenses that turns your pictures fish eye and different lenses which is also so cool for bloggers and selfie lovers!
5 Year Diary: For the people that like collecting moments in a non selfie way, a 5 year diary is a great gift idea. Its more than an everyday yearly diary, this is one you can write in for 5 years and look back on.

Netflix&Chill-

Amazon Fire stick TV- This is so good for people who love watching netflix, movies, or catch up on shows they have missed. Play games, music or apps. Just plug it into your HDMI in your T.V or computer and away you go.
A movie night treat box- This is such a cute idea I saw on pinterest, Making a movie night treat box hamper. With popcorn, snacks, drinks and chocolates and a few movies to watch or box set.

Beauty Gals:
Eyeshadow palettes: So many out there on the market, I recommend Urban decay, Morphe, Sleek, 88 palettes you can find on ebay for beginners.
Make-up gift sets: Again with so many on the market that come out around Christmas there is so many amazing ones to choose from. Benefit and MAC come out with amazing gift sets with different price ranges.
Brush cleanser kit: This is a gift that nobody really considers, but for someone who is in the make-up industry or someone who just enjoys make-up. A brush cleanser kit is so essential to keep bacteria and germs away from the brushes also to keep them super clean. Also beauty blender cleaners are also really essential.
Make-up organizer- So you have a friend, or daughter who has tons of make-up but nowhere to put it all. Why not get them a make-up organizer. So many to choose from, drawers or boxes or both.

Mac, Lush & Bath & Body Works Haul!❤

Hello! Welcome back to my blog. I have been online shopping and bought a few things from Bath and body works, Lush and MAC so I thought I would write up a blog post showing what I bought.

LUSH:

Comforter Bubble Bar: This is one I pick up every time its my all time favorite. This is a huge bubble bar which will last you 5 maybe 6 baths. Break off a little bit and crumble under running water it creates the best, biggest, frothiest, softest bubbles that are so playful and lasts a long time. The name is perfect for this bubble bar because it is so comforting and gives you a feeling of relaxation. It looks so pretty pink with a white swirl. Such a relaxing and calming scent but also fruity and sweet.
ButterBear Bath Bomb: This is part of their Christmas line, its a cute little white bear that you pop in the bath and it fizzes out. This is so calming and relaxing and super softening for the skin. Cocoa butter and ylang ylang are the main ingredients. It's great for nourishing and protecting the skin, no matter how long you stay in the tub, and has the same vanilla fragrance as their Butterball Bath Bomb.

Father Christmas Bath Bomb: I got this because firstly its so big, looks so cute and festive and it has the same scent as the popular snow fairy products!!! Bubblegum and vanilla, sweet Christmas bliss! I think this will make a fun, festive bath time treat

Dragons Egg Bath Bomb: This is another re purchase because I really enjoy it every time I use it. Its a good big size bath bomb. Looks white but when you plonk it in the bath it creates a explosion of sight, sound and scent. The bath bomb fizzes turning the water multiple colours as the sounds of crackles and fizzles and the scent of fruity sherbet lingers. Its super fun, smells amazing and the sounds make it even more enjoyable.
Don't Look at me Face Mask: I love Lush's face masks they are so good and full of goodness. This mask has been on my list for a long time and I finally purchased it. The colour of this mask is gorgeous, a vivid bright blue. The scent is amazing very zingy and zesty because of the lemon juices. This mask is to brighten, smooth, soften and exfoliate the skin.

MAC: I had 3 items from Mac on my want list and with the black Friday sales I finally purchased them.

Swiss Chocolate Eye Shadow: A deep, chocolate, brown with a slight purple. So pretty, I love my warm deep browns so I was so excited to finally purchase this for a good sale price!

Texture Eye shadow: This is also a warm shade, It's a peachy, warm, medium brown. This and Swiss Chocolate is a must have in everyone's collection. Texture on the lid and slightly in the crease blended out with naked from Urban Decay in the crease, and Swiss Chocolate on the outer corner will look so pretty!
Velvet Teddy Lipstick: This is a popular lipstick and I know why because it's so pretty, easier to wear and finishes matte with no dryness. Its the perfect peachy, brown nude!
Bath & Body Works

Leaves Candle: Such a Autumn/Winter/Christmas scent! Notes of crisp red apple, golden nectar and warm cove spice. So its full of winter spices.

Marshmellow Fireside Candle: I burn this candle in the evenings because it feels like a evening scent. Fire roasted vanilla, toasted marshmallow and smoldering woods. So delicious and slightly fire and woodsy. Just as if you are roasting marshmallows on the fire.

Tis The Season Candle: I love the packaging of this candle, it looks so festive!! This smells similar to the Leaves but a little more on the Christmas spices. Rich red apples, green pine, golden cider and Sweet Cinnamon Bark. How festive does that sound.
Twisted Peppermint Hand Sanitizer: I love bath & body works hand sanitizes because of how the scents linger, and how soft they make my hands. Twisted Peppermint is so festive just like a candy cane. Cool Peppermint, Sugared Snow and Vanilla Buttercream.
