January Favourites ♡
Hello Everyone! Welcome to my January Favourites.
If your here reading my blog, I am sure you are very familiar with favourite
posts or videos. Basically it's everything you have loved, used and obsessed
over in the month. Mine is beauty and non beauty related to spice it up. I hope
you enjoy finding out my loves of this month. :-)
Clarins Everlasting
Foundation:
I love this foundation for
whenever I need a full coverage, flawless face. This foundation is so creamy,
so hydrating and so blend able. This
foundation offers 15 hours of full coverage and wear. It also makes any
imperfections, fine lines and pores minimized. It feels very silky and soft on
the skin and smells just like Clarins products. It does say it's a matte
foundation but for me it does have a little glow and luminosity. It is gorgeous
for any skin type and such a beautiful foundation.
L'Oreal True Match Lumi
Foundation-
Another foundation I have
been using is the L'Oreal Lumi. Since my skin has been super dry more than oily
recently, I have been needing more dewy foundations. Also I have been going for
the glowing, dewy make-up more than a matte look recently. It's so pretty on
the skin because it makes your skin look naturally, healthy and glowing. It's a
buildable, medium coverage and very beautiful. If you are combination skin I
would suggest setting the oily area's with powder but if you can I would
suggest leaving the powder for the full dewy, glowing affect.
Bourjois Mousse Matte
Foundation.
I don't use this foundation as a
foundation. I use it as my contour if I am wanting more of a heavier sculpt
contour. Since it's a mousse, it feels very creamy, hydrating and soft on the
skin but works so well as a contour because it's not a liquid or a cream
foundation which I'm guessing would be slightly harder to work with and pull
off as a contour. It blends like a dream and looks very natural, not harsh or too
much. Since it's a matte it is perfect for contouring because it has no
luminosity or shimmer to it. It dries to a powdery, matte finish. It goes on
the skin like butter, sinks in and blends so nice. To be honest I find it more
affective and more easier to work with than a powder contour but I still do
love my Hoola bronzer from Benefit.
Revolution Salvation Palette.
This palette has been my
go to drugstore palette. This is combined with shimmer and matte and perfectly
organised might I add. It sometimes get's to me when palettes are all over the
place you have matte then shimmer, then shimmer then matte. I like palettes
that are organised and this palette has OCD gal's dream because you have your 6
shimmers on the top and 6 mattes on the bottom and the huge mirror is a plus.
The pigmentation is crazy for a £6 palette. In this palette you have your nudes
and natural shades and then your pop of colour and Smokey shades. A palette
that has it all for everybody for any eye look.
Beauty UK Glacier Glow Lip
Gloss ' Tickle me pink '
I have a collection of these glosses and they
are all so glossy and high shine and beautiful with intense colour
pigmentation. The shade I have been wearing a lot is the tickle me pink which
is a perfect coral hot pink shade. The gloss and shine to this is perfect and
very hydrating on the lips. I also don't have a problem with it fading away
during the day and for a drugstore gloss
this is perfect.
Soap and Glory whipped Clean
shower butter.
Every time I get a shower I get a little excited
because I know I will be using this product. This is incredible for hydrating and softening
the skin. This is a body butter and wash in one, it is made up of moisture oils
and butters including sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil, macadamia nut oil and
cocoa and shea butters. The scent is oh god, heaven! It smells sooooo good,
Vanilla, almond and cake batter is how I can describe the scent. This is so
creamy, hydrating, soft and makes my skin feel clean and fresh but super moisturised.
It's perfect for saving time, you don't have to use a moisturiser when you get
out the shower because your skin will already feel amazing. Love it!
Leighton and Denny light and
dark perfume
This perfume is a fruity mixture but also offers a warm,
womanly fragrance. This has jasmine, lily, rose, peach and grapefruit. It has
that fruity day time scent but has a warm and sexy night time scent so I like
that it can be worn day or night and gives two different feels to the perfume. Very beautiful!
Nyakz- Emotionless and Right
Now ( Music )
I have been loving Nyakz music so much recently. Right
now was on replay alot and I still am always listening to that but recently
Emotionless came out and I have been non stop listened to it. His music has
amazing lyrics and great beats. I think he deserves the success his music will
bring to him. Also the songs never get boring, I will never get sick of his
music. He is also such a sweet, lovely, down to earth gentleman. If you have
not please check out his music... Click Here;
Enrique Iglesias Sex and Love
Album.
Of course I have to mention the love of my
little life Enrique. I have been listening to his Sex and Love Album all the
time. I really have been enjoying listening to You and I, Physical, Let me be
your lover, Still your king and Only a woman. I put earphones in, His album on
full volume and I am in heaven.
More music I have been loving...

My tips on hydrated, glowing, dewy, make-up ♡
Hello and
welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to share my tips and what I do to
achieve a glowy, dewy and hydrated skin. This can be for everyday or when your exhausted
and your skin is looking very dull, very tired and de hydrated. My skin has become more dry than oily so these
steps have been working really well for me, but if your not dry you can use
these steps for when you have not had the best night sleep because that always affects the skin and thankfully there are steps to bring the skin back to life.
My first step
is to cleanse and moisturise my skin. Cleansing the skin is going to
refresh, hydrate and help with the dullness. I like to use Purity by Philosophy this really gives my skin a clean but does not dry my skin out, it puts moisture back in. I also like this because it PH balances and makes my skin feel soft. I like to splash my skin with
cold water after cleansing to refresh and close up my pores. Applying a
moisturiser is very important when you're tired or trying to achieve dewy skin.
It gives the skin its moisture it needs and locks it in and it helps your make-up lay beautifully on the skin. If you need to waken up your eyes, try
putting something cold under them like cucumbers or spoons that have been in
the refrigerator or a cold, gel, eye mask. This reduces puffiness and feels
very refreshing on tired eyes. I then suggest applying eye cream. To add a
little more hydration to the skin spray a facial spray, this adds more
hydration and feels very nice and refreshing.
Now my face is
moisturised and feels refreshed I am ready to make my skin look glowing and
alive with my make-up. It's all about the hydration so I apply a dewy
primer. Not only will the dewy primer
help your make-up stay in place and last all day, it's going to add moisture
and give a healthy glow to the skin. If you are oily you can use this step, but
just have a matte foundation or set your foundation with a matte powder. On
days were you want a dewy look, or your exhausted you really want to be using a
foundation that is going to give you a glow and luminosity because a hydrating
foundation is really going to make you look fresh and awake and your dull skin
brighter. I love using the L'oreal True match Lumi foundation, because it gives
my skin a beautiful healthy, fresh, awakened, glowy, dewy finish.
Next step is to
make the eyes look awake and brighter. The first thing I do is take my
beauty blender sponge and get it wet under the tap, squeeze it out and put it
in a towel. Instead of applying my concealer with my normal brush I like to use
a damp beauty blender on these types of days because it's hydration to the eyes
and feels very refreshing. To conceal my under eye bags, puffiness, redness,
lines and to bright up my under eye I use the Garnier anti dark circle Eye roll
on. This is enriched with caffeine and lemon essence so it's going to help the
under eye situation if you are sleepy because you have not had a good night
sleep. I also put this on points on my face that I want to bring light to, to
make my skin more glowing and brighter. If you want to, you could use a banana, yellow based powder to set the under eyes and points you highlighted because that will not only set it in place but give a more bright affect. Also If you are oily I would suggest using a matte powder to set your make-up.
To warm up the
face and give the skin some colour, I like to use Benefit Hoola Bronzer. This
is very natural with no glitter or shimmer. I like to use a matte bronzer so
the skin is not over glowing/highlighted and it's just adding contour and a
warmth to my skin. I like to apply this
on my temples, cheekbones and under my jaw line. I also blend this into my
crease with a big fluffy crease brush to warm up the eyes and give the eyes
dimension. If you don't want to contour, but give your skin warmth you can just
take the bronzer on a big fluffy brush and brush it under the cheekbones and
forehead. This step is not about glowy or dewy skin but more warmth and life to the skin! For a blush I
like to use something with a pink tone and some shimmer or highlight. I love
the Sleek blushes because most of them have a highlight affect which brightens
up the face and the pink tones make us look more alive and naturally glowing.
Now for the highlighting.
First I like to highlight my brow bone and inner corner of my eyes with a
creamy white. Placing this under the brow bone gives the illusion of having
more space between your crease and brows making your eyes appear more open.
Placing a white on the inner tear duct is also going to make your eyes appear
more open and awake.
Then I
highlight my cheekbones with The Balm MaryLouManizer. This is a vanilla,
shimmer, glowing, highlight that glows and brightens up the face very
naturally. When the light hits Marylou she glows! It's honestly a beautiful
highlight that I recommend if you are wanting a dewy, glowing, natural
highlight. I also swoop this on my chin, cupids bow and centre of my nose to
add more highlight/glow. If you want more of a pink tone highlight I suggest
The Balm CindyLouManizer. Cindy is a champagne highlight with pink undertones.
She will naturally highlight and bring warmth and glow to your skin.
For more
hydration and to set my make-up in place I use a make-up setting spray. This
also gives a dewy finish to the skin. For the base that is how I achieve
brighter, glowing skin. To make the skin look more glowing, and for you to look
more awake and beautiful on tired days I would suggest putting a shimmery eye
shadow on your eyes to bring attention and a more awake affect rather than
using a matte eye shadow which has no glow or shine. I would also suggest using
a pink, rose shade on the lips paired with a gloss to give the glowing, glossy
affect. These steps helps the make-up look come together and helps the glowing,
dewy affect your going for come full circle.
That is my tips
and what I do to achieve this look and to help my skin look more brighter and
not so dull when I am so sleepy. I think everyone has their own way of figuring
out what their skin needs and has ways of doing so. If you are more oily then
just using a matte primer, foundation, powder will help your oily skin but
using a glowing highlight and a shimmery eye shadow on the lid paired with a
pink tone lipstick and a gloss can make a glowing affect to your skin but still
benefit your oily skin type. I hope you enjoyed reading and I hope this blog
post was helpful.

My 2014 Make-up favourites ♡
Happy new year everyone! I hope everybody
had a fabulous 2014 and a even better 2015. This post is going to be all my
make-up products that I have loved, used and became my all time favourites in
2014. I was also going to put skincare into this post, but when I was thinking
about it I am too much of a skincare junkie to mix it all in 1 post so what I
might do is do a My 2014 skincare favourites post soon. I hope you enjoy
reading...
Benefit Porefessional-
This is a primer I used in 2014 and has
become my top favourite. This minimises the appearance of pores and fine lines
and it makes my make-up stay put for a good couple of hours. It also gives my
skin and make-up a " flawless face" affect. It's lightweight, super
silky and makes my skin feel smooth and keeps my make-up in place all day without creasing or caking.
L'Oreal True match foundation -
This foundation is perfect for anybody who
has oily skin because it has a matte finish and helps your skin stay matte. Anybody with any skin type will love this foundation but if you are oily, it will be a good foundation for you. I
love the way it sits on my skin, how lightweight it feels but has amazing
coverage, how natural it looks, and the long lasting wear of this foundation is fabulous. I can go
hours without touch ups. It blends like a dream and colour matches to my skin
perfectly.
L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation -
This is such a gorgeous foundation to have,
I recommend this 100%. If you want a flawless skin that is glowly and dewy this
foundation is for you. It makes your skin look healthy and glowing and still looks natural and lightweight with great coverage. I can wear this foundation for a whole day
and night and it stays on without caking or coming away. If you are oily then I
would suggest setting it with a powder, but you are still going to love this
foundation.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer -
This is my most used and loved concealer.
It's so blendable, great converge and no movement/ creasing for a few hours. It
hides the lines, redness, dark circles
and also has a soft, lightweight consistency.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer -
This is a matte bronzer, very beautiful for
contouring and has become my all time favourite. It's a universal bronzer that
everybody should own. It's not to light or dark it's just perfect. It's very creamy and easy to blend out.
Too Faced Blush ' Mocha '
Even though it's called a blush I use this
as a bronzer because the shade is perfect for contouring. If I am not feeling a
matte bronzer I will use this because it has little shimmers in it. It's the
perfect bronze shade not to orange or muddy. Very blendable, pigmented and the
shimmer is not intense.
Sleek Blush ' Mirrored Pink ' -
In 2014 I had my go-to blush and it's always
from sleek. Sleek is my all time favourite for blushes. The pigmentation is
amazing, the colours are beautiful, the shimmer and softness are so pretty. The
shade I have been wearing all the time is Mirrored Pink. It's the perfect pink with gold shimmer
running through it.
Sleek Blush ' Pomegranate' -
This is another Sleek Blush that I have been
loving in 2014. This is a berry pink shade with a slight blue undertone and a
little bit of shimmer. It's a warm shade for the cheeks.
Mac ' Dame' Blush -
This is also a go to blush I used in 2014.
It's a beautiful baby pink shade that is matte. It goes on smooth and is very pigmented.
Very pretty on the cheeks.
Revolution Blush ' Hot ' -
I tried out the brand Revolution in
Superdrug in 2014 and I really love this Blush from that brand. It's only £1
and you get a pigmented, blendable blush. This shade is a hot pink with a
little bit of shimmer.
The Balm Marylou, CindyLou and Bettylou
manizers-
These ladies stole the show in 2014 for me. Betty,
Cindy and Mary are gorgeous highlighters, shadows and blushes in one. They are
so pigmented and each one is so beautiful on the skin. MaryLou is a vanilla
shade with golden shimmer, Cindylou is a champagne shade with a pink undertone
and Betty is a bronze golden shade. These ladies are crazy pigmented so use a light hand and they are soft on the skin. Very beautiful highlighters and I love them and wore them
all throughout 2014.
L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara ( The gold
Packaging )
This is the only mascara I used most of the
time and stood out for me in 2014. It is my holy grail mascara that has never disappointed
me. It has a thin brush that grabs every lash and gives them volume and length.
It gives the perfect lift and tint
without clumping and it does not flake off during the day.
Beauty UK eye primer-
For a drugstore eye primer this does the job
well. This keeps my eyeshadow from creasing and my shadows do not move till I
am ready to take it off that night. When I apply it to my lids it has this
tight sticking feeling as if it's saying your shadows are not going anywhere.
Really love this primer, does an excellent job!
Urban Decay Naked Palette.
This palette I cannot live without. I use this
all the time and love it so much. The shades are so pretty, shimmer and matte
and so pigmented. I also received the Naked 2 palette for Christmas and I have
to say I'm loving it a tiny bit more than Naked1. Both palettes are beautiful,
pigmented, shades are pretty and you have shades that go well together. These
palettes have browns, to golds, whites to blacks honestly I could go on about
the Naked 1+2 palettes. Amazing!
The Balm Nude Tude Palette-
This palette is so pretty and the shades are
so pretty. It has all the nude and warm shades. Matte and shimmer and crazy
pigmentation. Very beautiful and can create a lot of looks with this palette.
Revolution Welcome to Pleasuredome Palette-
This has 18 eye shadows, 12 shimmer and 6
matte so you have a good range of matte and shimmer in this palette. It also
has bright and neutral shades so you can really create any look with this
palette. It's also very pigmented and creamy and easy to blend.
Maybelline Colour Tattoos -
These are little gems to have in your
collection. They are gel, creamy eye shadows that feel so smooth on the lid.
They are so incredibly pigmented and last till your ready to take your make-up
off. They come in beautiful shades and can be used as a base or on top of an eye
shadow. They make any make-up look stand out.
Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm.
2014 was the year I tried Carmex for the 1st
time and I love it and has become my all time favourtie lip balm. This has
healed and helped my chapped and dry lips. Soothed away cracks, chapping and
dryness. So moisturising and has a menthol, minty feel.
Revlon matte lipstick ' Sultry Samba '
I have been wearing this matte lipstick so
much in 2014. It's such a pretty hot pink with slight purple undertones. The
matte finish is moisturising and creamy and not at all drying. The colour lasts
really well without fading or bleeding.
Maybelline Baby Lips
I have accumulated so many of these in 2014.
I have quite a collection. These are so moisturising with a beautiful tint on
the lips. They are very hydrating and some of them have scents like cherries or
mint.
Revlon Matte Balm ' Shameless '
I have been loving the plums/purple lips in
2014. This ' Shameless' shade is a berry, pinky, purple. The matte finish is
creamy and velvety. So pretty and pigmented and lasts a good few hours. It also
has a minty scent and feel on the lips.
Maybelline colour sensational lipstick ' hot
plum'
This is another purple, plum shade. It's a
little bit lighter than the Revlon Shameless. It has a glossy, creamy finish
and looks beautiful on the lips. I have to say it does not last as long as the
Revlon one but still lasts a good couple of hours and very pigmented.
These lip balm crayons are so moisturising
and creamy and pigmented. They have a sweet, cake scent and beautiful shades.
They have a glossy, creamy, finish and feel so hydrating and smooth on the
lips. In 2014 I enjoyed wearing these.
I think that is all the make-up products I
loved during 2014. I hope you enjoyed reading. xx
