Hello Bloggers. Today's post as you can tell by the title is my everyday skin care routine. This is showing you what I do every morning before getting ready for the day. I think it is important to wash and clean your face in the morning time so when it comes to applying the makeup your skin is fresh and new ( like a new canvas to work on). This is what I do...
Before I begin: I like to tie my hair back, put on a headband and sanitize my hands!
Hair out of the way? yes! Hands clean? yes! Let's go...
Waking up the face: I fill the sink up with hot water and drop in a flannel. I then squeeze the water out of the flannel and press it on my face. This is a great way to open up the pores and wake up the skin. Its great for tired and puffed eyes, gives you that " ah feeling" I do that three times and then pat my face dry.
Wash time: I think it is very important to wash your face in the morning time because we go through some stuff when we sleep, all the toxins and sweat are coming out of your pores. So therefore we need to wash are face for sanitary reasons and also the makeup we apply is going to look even better because it applies better to a fresh clean face.
I wash my face with : Philosophy Purity cleanser.
I love this! My skin benefits so much from using this. It is very gentle and takes all the dirt and makeup out of your skin. It cleans deep and well! It is an eye makeup remover, cleanser and toner in one. pretty cool right? It is formulated for all skin types, it feels so silky and does not irritate my skin. I take a small amount onto my hands and rub it into my skin and rinse off and pat my skin dry.I actually need a new bottle of this I have about a quarter of it left :(
Day Time moisturiser:I use a day time moisturiser in the morning as it will act as a base/primer for your makeup. It will also help your makeup not crease or settle into any fine lines and if you have dry skin its always important to moisturise day and night...
I moisturise in the morning with: Loreal Triple Active day moisturizer.
I love this cream it is very silky and its not to thick or heavy. It dries in super quick and has a long lasting hydration, It is enriched with glycerine which improves the skin's ability to retain water and improves the hydration during the day. It also has a lot of protection against harmful effects of the sun and is enriched with vitamin E and a UV filter. It has Vitamin B5 which helps reinforce the skin's protective surface leaving it looking more radiant and glowing.
Eye cream: I use an eye cream mainly for hydration, I get dry lids and under my eyes become dry so I have an eye cream to help the dry skin, also to brighten and de puff my eyes since I suffer with that to, I apply eye cream morning and night!
The eye cream I use: Kiehls creamy eye treatment with avocado oils!
This helps my dry eyes become hydrated, it also gives a brightening affect to my eye area which is nice. I love this and I have a done a blog post all about it click here for that http://makeupwithkimmy.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/kiehls-creamy-eye-treatment-cream-with.html
Finished?:Of a morning I don't like to overload my skin with loads of products so I try to keep it to just what my skin needs in the morning so I think a cleanser wash, moisturiser and eye cream is great for the morning and all my skin needs. What is your morning routine bloggers?
Such a good tip about face washing in a morning and so true too, I can't imagine why anyone would not wash their face x
