July Favourites! ♥
Welcome to my July Favourites
post! This is all the products or things I have been loving in the month of
July. enjoy!
Mario Badescu: I
have been trying out some Mario Badescu products lately so I'm going to talk
about what I have been loving...
Enzyme Cleansing Gel:
This is a non foaming gel cleanser
for all skin types. This washes away makeup, dirt and any oil without drying
the skin out. It brightens dull skin and
breaks down the build up of dead skin cells that cause breakouts and
blackheads. When I'm ready to take my
make-up off, I wet my skin and massage this gel cleanser into my skin then
rinse away and my make-up is gone! It's really easy and really quick. I did try
it on my eyes to take away my mascara and it did, and it did it easy and quick
but I had a little bit of stingy feeling in my eyeballs so I don't think your
meant to put it on your eyes. I was super impressed with how my make-up came
off so quick and how well my skin looked and felt. My skin felt fresh and clean
and soft. It smells fruity and fresh and feels soft and gentle!
Special Cucumber Lotion:
This is a soothing, refreshing,
disinfecting, and deep cleansing astringent for combination-oily skin. You can use this twice a day but I used this
of a night time. It removes oil, takes out bacteria, tightens pores and
prevents any breakouts and dries up existing breakouts. This does not dry the
skin out or burn/irritated my skin. Its super soothing and calms down breakouts
and redness. I use this on a round cotton pad and swipe on my face. My skin
feels refreshed, clean and slightly tight like its sucked out any oil and dirt
and disinfected my skin. It smells fresh
and helps control oil especially during the hot and stuffy weather!
Seaweed Night Cream:
This is for combination, oily and
sensitive skin. I love this night cream, every night I look forward to applying
it on my skin. Its lightweight but slightly thick. It's a green cream that
smells just like a spa! When I apply this my skin feels luxurious and hydrated.
When I wake up the next day my skin is baby soft, hydrated and has a slight
glow. This night cream hydrates the skin, without clogging pores. I love it,
nothing bad I can say about this cream. It's luxurious and keeps my skin
hydrated and soft.
Flower & Tonic Mask
This is a mask for combination,
oily and sensitive skin. This is a purifying & calming mask. It's going to
help tighten pores, absorb surface oil without drying the skin and calm redness
and sooth skin. It gives me a fresh start, sucks everything out to start again.
It tightened my pores and took all the oil and junk out of my skin but left it
super soft and hydrated. It dries quick so you don't have to wait around for it
to dry and it removes easy. It gives a tight feeling when its drying. love
using this mask!
That is all the Mario Badescu
products that I have been loving in the month of July. Moving on to make-up...
Sleek Blush in the colour Mirrored pink:
I have been using the blush for the
past 3 weeks now. I just can't get enough of this blush, I love how it gives a golden
highlight to the cheekbones so you don't have to apply highlight if you don't
want to/in a rush. The pigmentation is
insane, you only need a little bit. This is a beautiful, universal, mid tone
rose pink with fine golden and silver shimmer. This comes off as a satin finish
with a beautiful golden highlight that sits perfect on the cheekbones.
Miners Maxi volumising Mascara:
This mascara has thin wand that gives my lashes volume and
length. it does not clump or is to wet. It's an easy application and gives my
lashes a nice volume and lift. I like how it makes my lashes look and I like
the application! I have been using this mascara throughout July and I am really
happy with it.
The candy jar marshmallow hearts bath and shower gel:
Oh my goodness! This smell is
addictive! You want your nose to be attached to this bottle. This is a bath and
shower gel, but I use it for a bubble bath and sometimes body wash. It smells
like sweets, but its one of those scents that is addictive and smells so great!
If you see this in the shop you have to give it a smell, ah its perfect I'm
smelling it right now as I'm typing this. It has the most amazing sweet, candy
shop smell. It makes big, soft bubbles that last well in the bath, and makes my
body feel soft and smell amazing!
I have been loving a couple of
songs this month, some old, some new but I thought I would add them into this
post since they are my favourites in this month.
- · AlunaGeorge- Attracting Flies ( Baauer remix)
- · TimeFlies-Swoon
- · Drake&Nicki Minaj- Make me proud
- · Josh Turner- Your Man
- · Trey Songz- Need a girl

That completes my July Favourites.

Mario Badescu review! ♥
I was recently sent out some
Mario Badescu products to review. I have spent about 2 weeks trying these
products out and I now feel I have a truthful opinion on them. I hope you enjoy
reading and thank you Mario Badescu for sending me out these amazing products!
Disclaimer: Even though this
product has been sent to me from a company I ALWAYS do a 100% honest and
truthful review, all opinions are my own unless I state I have asked someone
like my family/friends. I will never do a dishonest review just because I have
been sent a product.
This is for oily/Combination skin and if
you are that skin type this toner is your best friend. I use this when my skin
feels oily, or I have clogged pores and when I feel my skin is breaking out.
This removes any oil from the skin, takes out bacteria and disinfects so it's
going to clear and help breakouts. This is also going to tone and remove any
traces of make-up. It smells very fresh and clean and feels cooling/soothing
and I also feel a little bit tight afterwards because it has took out any oil
and bacteria. This has soothed my skin and I have noticed my pores are not as
clogged and my oiliness has calmed down, I don't get oily that much during the
day. I highly recommend this to anyone with oily skin, breakouts and clogged
pores.
This is made for all skin types. If you
have breakouts mainly white heads you need this. This is a spot zapper! You
place a cotton bud into the bottle right the way into the pink powder, when it
comes out it will be wet and sort of like clay, You place it on any spots you
have and sleep with it on your face. I thought that it would become messy and
get everywhere while I sleep, but when I applied it, it dries on the skin quick
so it will not get everywhere while your sleeping. In the morning you wash it
off and your spot has gone (like poof gone ) It is amazing, such a holy grail
product. This zaps away spots that have fully come to the surface, and I notice
if I apply it to areas where a spot is coming but is under the skin, it takes
away the size and redness. Everybody needs this
product! Moisturize your skin after you have washed the drying lotion
off because it is ' drying' to the area you apply it. Oh I love this it's
highly recommend.
This is a lightweight moisturizer for
combination/sensitive skin. This protects the skin from any sun damage and
moisture loss. It feels very soft and silky, you can tell that it is not a
thick moisturizer. I love it for the morning time, before I apply my
make-up I like to apply this moisturizer because it plumps and
awakens my skin, moisturizers it and protects it from the sun. I
have found it also sets a nice base for my make-up. It does not break my
skin out even though it has SPF which for me a lot of moisturizers with
SPF break me out but this one has not. Also it has helped with large
pores. Great light moisturizer with SPF 15!

Zoya Polish review! ♡
I was recently sent two bottles of Zoya polish for a
review and OH MY GOSH I love them. Here is my thoughts...
The first polish is called ' Wendy' This is such a beautiful
pink/coral that is bright and would be extra beautiful on tan ladies. The
formula is excellent, only took two coats and the brush is wide enough so you
don't get any streaks/lines/blobs. The consistency is not to thick or thin or
watery. I love how the finish was glossy and smooth and the drying time was
quick. This polish lasted a good week without fading or chipping and when it
was time to remove it, the polish came away quick and easy and left no stains.
I did two coats of the 'Wendy' and then I applied a white bow on
the ring finger.
The next polish is called ' Muse' and this is a blue, holographic
colour with hints of gold speckles and iridescent glitter. This colour is
my favorite, I just can't get over how pretty and 'WOW' it looks. The
glitter is not chunky and does not take that much effort to remove it. The way
it applies is so smooth and not at all messy. This colour screams
Caribbean/summer/ sea to me and I think it looks very mermaid and summery when
it's on the nails. This lasted a good week without fading/chipping which was
impressive. I received a lot of compliments when I was wearing this polish.
I applied two coats of the 'muse' and then on
the ring finger I used a black base colour so make the 'muse' POP even more. I
then placed a blue bow on the middle finger to bring the manicure together.
That is my quick thoughts on the two polishes I received
I recommend 100% and I thank Zoya for sending me them, it was really fun to
review. Please head over to
the Zoya website to check out more of their polishes. http://www.nailcareclub.com/

My friend's blog!♡
This is just a really quick post talking about my
friend's new beauty blog. I am very supportive when it comes to my friends or
family creating a blog because I am so passionate about my own. So when my
friend Charlotte decided to finally hop into the world of blogging (yay) I had
to do a post on it, just to get it out there a little more and basically show
my support and proud-ness I guess. I can tell already she will be amazing
at it, because she has already posted two fantastic posts that are so
informative and well written and to be honest it's very impressive for a first
blogger. If you could just pop over to her blog, have a little read and hopefully
if you like what you read, give her blog a follow? Thank you! ps: your doing so
well Charlotte, I'm very proud!xo

Review: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser! ♡
Everybody must of heard of the Liz Earle hot
cloth cleanser! It has had so much hype around blogs, YouTube and stores. I think it deserves the hype because this
product is a little gem!
This is a cleanser/All in one makeup remover
for all skin types. It has
ingredients like Eucalyptus, Beeswax, Rosemary, Chamomile, essential oils and Coco
butter and it is mineral oil free.
This cleanse and polish is a two phase
process so you firstly Cleanse: I apply two pumps onto my hands and then
onto my dry face ( with my makeup on ) I use circular movements and I do my
eyes last, I gently rub back and forth on my lashes and eyes. This step is to
purify, soften, grab the make-up and dirt and stimulate the circulation. Then
Polish: I soak the Muslim cloth that this cleanser comes with in hot water,
then I press it onto my face I do this two times to just let the hot water go
into my pores. Then I wipe away the cleanser/makeup. This part is so soothing
and relaxing to me, something about the cloth and hot water that makes me feel
relaxed.
This cleanser is VERY gentle even on my eyes.
It has not broken my skin out, or irritated it in anyway and my eyes have not
stung or become irritated. The best part about this little gem is it really
does take away every speck of make-up, lipstick and stubborn mascara. I am sold on this cleanser, it truly is
fabulous, everybody needs to give it a try if you can. My make-up comes away so
quickly and easy and especially my stubborn eye make-up and mascara, I don't
need to use any eye make-up removers afterwards!
A little bit goes a long
way with it, You only need about two pumps to do your whole face, neck and eyes
which is amazing. The consistency is thick, creamy and soft to the skin. It
leaves the skin feeling baby soft and very hydrated. This cleanser does not
feel balmy or greasy or sticky and does not dry your skin out. Also
the Muslim cloth it comes with is soft which I think is important.
The scent is lovely, it smells so calm and relaxing and aromatherapy but
also slightly clean/fresh!
This is 100% recommend from me and many others
that have tried it. It's great, very quick and easy and ahh amazing!! 10/10

Reviews: Lush skincare products! ♡
The skincare junkie I am, I just had to try some
skincare products from the amazing company Lush! Like many others I have been a
big proud fan of Lush and normally I always wonder towards the fun looking bath
bombs or bubble bars but recently I had a good look through the skincare and
now I have three products that I am just loving. So here is my review on 3 lush
skincare products!
Firstly I love this
scent! It's an intense peppermint/Minty scent and I absolutely love how intense
it smells. This has marigold oil and Chlorophyllin to treat the skin, Honey for
antiseptic and moisturise, Edukie beans and primrose seeds to gently exfoliate
and peppermint oil to stimulate and a bunch of other good for your skin
ingredients. This mask is not only a mask but a scrub as well, So when you're
ready to wash it off, you gently scrub using circular movements and it's not
harsh/abrasive. You can also put this mask in the fridge to intensify it but
that is optional. This mask is fantastic for any dark spots, blemishes, acne,
oiliness and to make the skin more awakened! When the mask is on I can feel a
cooling and stimulating feeling as if its pulling out every speck of dirt, oil,
bacteria, junk and bad toxins and the smell of the mint is so intense it's
heaven! Afterwards my skin feels like I have just done a good clean out, taking
out every nasty junk. My skin looks brighter, clean, clear and feeling smooth
and not dried out! This mask has never completely taken away spots but it has
reduced redness, inflammation, size and dried up some spots. I use this mask
when my skin is freaking out, need's some calming down and to pull everything
out and start fresh. I recommend it, but more towards the oily/acne prone skin
types!
This is such a calm, soothing,
gentle toner. It is a spray bottle so you can spray it directly onto your face
or on a cotton pad. It is suitable for the most sensitive skin/any skin type.
It hydrates, refreshes and sooths the skin. It's very moisturizing and has rose
oil which nourishes, cools and calms the skin and lavender oil which helps your
skin produce the right amount of sebum oil, and soften the skin! This is a
gentle, mild and soothing toner. It has the most calming, luxurious, spa, aromatherapy
scent which I love for the night time! When I use this toner my skin feels
moisturized, soft, hydrated and I feel luxurious and calm.
This is a fabulous exfoliate. I
use this about 3 times a week and my skin has never felt better when I use it.
The scent is sea salt but not overpowering or even that strong. The colour of
this is bright blue, it looks so pretty! This is great for all skin types. It
has sea salt which is amazing for acne and to cleanse and tone. Seaweed,
coconut oil and organic lime and Avocado butter to moisturize, soften and
refresh so it will also be great for dry skin. It helps with blocked pores,
blackheads and blemishes, and removing dead skin, dirt and leaves the skin
brighter, softer and fresh. For a more intense scrub you can apply to dry skin
and use circular movements or for a gentle scrub use on damp skin. My skin
feels amazing when I have used this. I feel like it has took anything that was
causing breakouts, blockages, and any oiliness. It does not dry my skin out at
all, it puts natural oils into my skin and leaves my skin conditioned, hydrated
and super soft. It has been brightening up my skin which I love. This can also
be used on your chest, back, arms and legs. I recommend it for everybody with
any skin type.

Let’s talk about: Oily skin & beauty oils!♡
Beauty Oils are one of the best
skincare products everybody should have! Everybody any age and any skin type
can use them. Sensitive, dry, combination, oily. Yes oily folks can use oil on
their face *gasp* Most people who have oily skin start stripping away the oil,
giving the skin no moisture at all. Our bodies respond to what we do to it, so
your skin will freak out and start over producing natural oils this causes your
skin to be over oily and acne prone. What you need to be doing is every morning
and night, gently cleanse the skin with a cleanser that will not clog pores and
put back oils into the skin. You don’t need to be exfoliating every time you
see oil on your skin. You only need to be exfoliating 3 times a week, even if
you use a cleanser with enzymes that will naturally and gently exfoliate. You
also don’t need to be using a face mask every time you see oil on your skin. I
use a mask once or twice a week so strip everything and start over and then I
make sure I put the oil back into my skin by moisturizing. You need
to be using a moisturizer/moisturizing oil every morning and night.
Always moisturize because Oil combats Oil. So you need to give
your skin oil, to convince it to not over produce.
If you’re suffering from any white
head spots the most important thing is to not POP them! Please do not pop them
because this will cause the skin to break causing redness, bleeding,
inflammation and scabs plus you’re spreading that nasty bacteria and pushing it
further down into the skin. What you need to do is take an ice cube and wrap it
up in a paper towel. Press the ice cube onto the spot for about 5 minutes, the
cold will help fight the bacteria. Then you need to cleanse the area and gently
exfoliate. Next take a Muslim cloth or flannel, soak it in hot water, wrap it
around your finger and press it onto the spot for about 30 seconds. The heat
from the flannel will soften the spot and soothe the area. Push and wipe the
spot and the majority of the time the spot wipes away.
Then moisturize with something that will fight spots or a spot
treatment gel. So if you’re about to pop your spot, Stop and try these steps!
The first beauty oil I use and love
is TheKiehl’s midnight recovery
concentrate. This is an overnight elixir; you apply 2-3 drops
at night and press it into your skin. This is filled with good-for-your-skin
ingredients like Omega 6 fatty acids, Evening Primrose oil and essential oils
including Lavender. This is going to work overnight to recover and replenish your
skin with moisture. It’s very lightweight, so it’s not greasy or heavy. I use
this on the nights when I want to feel relaxed and pampered. It has an
aromatherapy scent to it because of the essential oils and lavender and it has
that aromatherapy effect. It feels moisturizing, my skin loves it. I
notice after a few times using it my skin clears up. It calms
and soothes my skin leaving it clear, moisturized,
hydrated, treated and a little glow and makes me feel relaxed and pampered.
I also love using The Ora
Naturals 100%Pure Argan Oil. This is all natural and organic so it’s
great for your skin and will not clog pores. You can use this on your whole
body, hair, nails, face. This is on the heavier side but not to heavy so you do
not feel like a grease chicken but it is a thicker oil that will absorb a
little longer. You can apply this morning and night. If you apply it in the
morning I suggest you apply a thin layer and wait at least 30 minutes before
applying any make-up. I like to apply it at night about 2 hours before I put my
head on the pillow and I apply a good layer of it and just allow it to soak
into my skin. It feels amazing. So moisturizing and I can feel my
skin is getting a good hydration. I notice how my skin feels so hydrated
and looks healthy when I wake up. It truly is a great oil and leaves my skin so
soft and amazing.
The last beauty oil I am going to
talk about is The Balm Balm little miracle
rosehip serum. This is 100% natural and organic. You can use
this with your moisturizer or alone, morning and night. This is
great for anybody but really good for mature ladies. It’s good for texture,
wrinkles and fine lines and radiance and moisturizers the skin. This
smells so good; a lovely girly rose scent which is not overpowering or
irritable. This is a thick oil but not too thick or to greasy because I am dry
and oily I don’t like any heavy thick oils so I go for more lightweight ones.
If you apply a thin layer for me it takes about 5 minutes to absorb if I apply
more of a thick layer about 20 minutes. This oil has improved the texture of my
skin and it looks healthy. I wake up with hydrated skin and I don’t produce as
much oil or break outs.

Laura Mercier Ambre Vanillé Souffle Body Cream Review. ♡
I
thought I would do a review on a body cream. This type of review is one I have
never done on my blog before which really surprises me since I use body
lotions/creams/butters all the time! So Today I am going to tell you my
thoughts/opinions on the Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Souffle Body Cream. I hope
you enjoy reading :D!
To
be honest I did not like this scent at first! I thought it smelt way to sweet
and of pure yogurt and when I applied it to my skin, it smelt so sickly and it
did not smell right on me. I did not use it until a few weeks ago I decided to
try it on my skin again just to see what I thought and... I am in love! This
smells so amazing on my skin now. I don't smell that yogurt scent anymore, I
think I was smelling that at first because it has a very sweet almond scent,
but I don't smell yogurt and I have fell in love with this body cream now. I
feel it smells of sweet vanilla, very warm but girly. The notes are
Tangerine, coconut, almond, honey, vanilla, grape seed and sandalwood. ( yum )
The
consistency is very whipped, super soft and luxurious. This sinks right into my
skin which I love because for the most time I apply body creams before I go to
sleep, so I need something that will quickly sink into my skin. It feels very
silky but not greasy or sticky. Its thick so a little bit goes a long way and
the scent lasts a long time, I can still smell it on my skin when I wake up and
half way through the next day! This soufflé has vitamin A,C and E for the best
nourishment and good for your skin cream!
I
am very glad I have come back to this body cream and gave it another go because
I love it so much now! The scent is heavenly and the cream is luxurious and
very hydrating to my skin. I sometimes like to apply this cream after I have
come out of the bath/shower when my skin is slightly damp. It locks in the moisture
even more. I recommend it to anyone who likes vanilla, sweet scents!

My favourite skincare products at the moment ♥
I love
skincare, I love talking about it, I love shopping for it, I love using skin
products so I decided to do a post on my favorite skin care products
at the moment. I have so many skin care products that I use every once in
a while so I am just going to talk about what I love at this moment. I hope you
enjoy reading!!
Cleansers.
My all
time favorite cleanser is Purity
one step facial cleanser by Philosophy. This is for all skin types and will
not clog your pores and also it won't strip your skin from its natural oils,
it's actually going to put oil back into your skin because it has natural oils
init. It's a one step facial cleanser because it's going to cleanse your skin,
remove makeup including eye makeup and tone your face with just one formula.
It's very gentle on the skin and eyes and can be applied to dry or damp skin. I
use this morning and night, it's an amazing cleanser that really takes away any
speck of makeup and dirt. It's perfect for everybody.
For days when my skin
needs soothing and calming I use Murad
Soothing gel cleanser. If your skin is breaking out, producing redness and
inflammation you need this cleanser. This cleanses away dirt and bacteria, soothes and
calms skin and helps with any redness and inflammation. This is super soft
and moisturizing and helps so much with any breakouts and
irritated skin. It has moisturizing beads to restore
moisture and softness, also peppermint and berry leaf extracts to help with
inflammation. It smells soothing and feels soothing and cooling.
Exfoliating washes.
Most of the time I use MicroDelivery Exfoliating facial wash by Philosophy. This is for all skin types and gentle enough to use daily. It's not to abrasive but is gritty so you do get a good scrub. My skin feels softer, cleaner and brighter.
I also have been
recently using the Olay total
effects self heating exfoliate. This
is amazing!!! It has warming micro crystals and is a 7 in 1 exfoliate. It
brightens, improves texture and smoothness, exfoliates, removes dirt and makeup
and helps the appearance of pores. You splash your face with water, apply
this to your skin using circular movements at that point you feel a slight warm
feeling, then you apply more water to get the full thermal experience. I must
put your mind at rest and tell you this does not burn or get to hot, it's
basically just warm. It feels so soothing and it exfoliates well without being
harsh on the skin.
Beauty Oil, Moisturizers and
eye cream.
I love Origins GinZing energy boosting moisturizer. The scent of this first of all makes me so happy and it's pretty addictive. The scent is pure oranges that makes you crave an orange slush! This feels super hydrating to the skin, it is a thick moisturizer but not too heavy. You can apply it Am and Pm and it's not sticky or greasy. I have noticed my skin is brightening with this moisturizer so it must have vitamin c so that is always a great thing. My skin feels amazing with this moisturizer.
Clarins Daily
Energizer Cream is
another favorite of mine. Its a thick moisturizer but very
silky. It gives the skin a little glow but not oily just brighter and a little
tiny glow, and feels baby soft! This cream gives my skin hydration and a
perfect base for when I apply my makeup. I use this as a day cream rather than
a night. I love the scent, it smells very womanly and grown up but not a
grandma scent!
My favorite beauty
oil is Balm Balm 100% organic
little miracle rose serum. This is for all skin types, and its natural
and organic. The scent is so girly, it's pure roses but not to overpowering or
sickly. This is going to be used in conjunction with your
normal moisturizer. It's a thick oil but won't make you look like a
grease chicken and if your skin is very dry, it will drink this oil up so
quickly. This oil has improved the texture of my skin and also I notice I don't
produce as much oil and breakouts when I use it.
For eye cream there is
only one that I love which does not irritate and sting my eyes and that is Kiehls creamy eye treatment with
avocado oils. This is made to hydrate, brighten and de puff the eyes.
It has such an amazing brightening effect that gives the eyes a natural
luminous glow. It has saved my eyes from dryness and puffiness and does a
fabulous job for tired eyes. It has a scent of avocado ( of course ) but the
fragrance does not bother my eyes at all.
Masks.
Lush mask of
magnanimity is
my all time favorite mask! This is so minty it's gorgeous! It
has peppermint oil which will stimulate the skin, it helps with dark spots,
break outs and it's also a scrub. So you apply it to your skin, leave it on to
dry and then when your washing it off you scrub your face with it. Its not at
all harsh or to abrasive. You can put this in your fridge and then
apply it to your skin for a much more intense mask if you wanted to that is
optional. This pulls out every dirt and bacteria from your skin and you can
feel it doing so. You feel a cooling, minty, stimulating feeling which is
incredible. You feel every nasty stuff and toxins are coming out of your skin.
It has the most amazing mint scent but I will tell you it is intense, so if you
don't like peppermint you won't like this. I love it so much, my skin looks
clean, no breakouts have happened, if I did have any they dried up, my skin
feels refreshed and ah just beautiful.
Murad clarifying mask is also on my favorites. I
use this more when I need to take everything out and start again with my
skin because it does help more with breakouts and blemishes and it clarifies
the skin. I don't think this has a scent to it because I don't smell one.
It's a soft mask and dries really quickly. It pulls so much out from your pores,
and makes your skin feel baby soft. It sucks everything out and gives you a
fresh start which everybody needs to do at least once a week to just pull out
everything and start again. There is not much of a feeling when it's
drying, just a tightening feeling. It's a mask I recommend :D
Cream Cleanser
After I have taken my
makeup off with wipes, or Micellar water I like to use a cream cleanser. I love
using Oil of Aloe Vitamin E
creme. This gets deep down and takes off any speck of makeup and dirt.
Its moisturizing and for all skin types. It feels luxurious and soft
and leave my skin looking cleaner and baby soft. Its one of
my favorite products to use as I am taking makeup off because it
feels so pampering. The scent is like a luxurious spa scent and the
cream is not greasy or sticky. I love this and have been using it for years as
a makeup remover extra step.
That is
my favorite skincare products at the moment. I hope you had a
good read and let me know what skincare products you are loving at the
moment... :D

Spring/Summer eyes! ♥
Hello girls! So today I thought it would be nice to show you what eye make-up look I have been wearing and loving. This look really suits the spring/summer. These colours are going to look great on everybody's eye colour especially brown eyes. If I show a make-up look I try and make sure every eye colour can wear it because I like every girl to feel they can take this look and create it, or get ideas from it. I hope you enjoy reading! Xx
Firstly like always prime time! I use Urban Decay Primer Potion all over my lid with my finger, You can use a concealer which I do most of the time, you just need something to cover the base of your eye, and something that your eye shadow will stick to.
I then start off with my crease colour, I use the Naked 1 palette and the shade Naked! This is just a skin tone shade. I sweep that back and forth with a fluffy brush in my crease. I then take the colour Buck which is a soft brown shade from the Naked Palette and sweep that back and forth in my crease. This is a transition shade and also creating a blown out look.
I move onto my lid and I use Maybelline colour tattoo in the colour on and on bronze. These Colour Tattoo's are the best! They are perfect to blend, very creamy and are pigmented like crazy. I take this on my finger and press it onto my lid, Once I feel I have enough I blend it out with a clean brush. I press it onto my lid because I feel it's way more easier and you get more pigment.
I like to add more bronze to my lid so I go back to the Naked palette and use Smog which is a golden bronze shade. I take it on a brush and pat it onto my lid, patting the Urban Decay shadows onto your lid will create less fall out and more pigment.
Taking a clean fluffy brush I go back in my crease with the Naked and Buck shade and blend blend blend...
I like to add a white in my tear duct to create more of a ' open eye effect' so I use NYX jumbo eye pencil in the colour milk. To highlight my brow bone I use marylou manizer by the Balm.
I do my mascara and liner and then move onto my lower lash line!
I take a black pencil and line my water line. Then I use a flat top brush and Revlon Silver Fox Palette, I use the mint green shade and sweep it back and forth under my lashes taking up meeting where a cat eye flick would be. This mint shade is so pretty, it brings so much attention to the eyes. I then take a aqua shade I am using NYX 78 colour palette, the blue shade's in this palette are beautiful. I sweep that back and forth under the eyes. The mint and aqua shade will bring everything together and work very beautifully together.
That is the final eye look! I feel it is very summer/spring appropriate with the golden bronze on the lid, and mint greeny blue on the bottom :D I hope you enjoyed reading and please let me know in the comments make-up looks you are loving! Xx

Beauty oils + oily/acne prone skin tips ♥
I have been obsessed with beauty oils, so for this post I wanted to talk to you about them but before I start I just wanted to give you some tips on oily/acne prone skin because what most people will do when they hear ' beauty oils' or ' moisturizer' is stay away from them because they are so oily already the thought of putting any oil onto the skin freaks them out but that is where people go wrong... so please step into my little science class for just a moment.
What most people do when they have oily/acne prone skin is they start stripping away the skin thinking that is going to stop the oil and acne. So they avoid any hydration on the skin like moisturizers and beauty oils. This is a big NO No for anybody who has that skin type and any skin type in general. here is the science'y part.
Our bodies respond to whatever we are doing to it, when your body gets its natural oils it needs stripped away it freaks out,you have basically drained all your natural oils your body produces and needs. Your sebum glands will be put on full steam and start to over produce oil. This causes your skin to become more oily than normal and more acne prone. What most people need to know is Oil combats oil!! You need to moisturize, you need to hydrate your skin, you need to not strip the oil your skin needs. Applying a moisturizer or beauty oil will combat the oil, stopping your sebum glands over producing the oil. Your skin will start thinking oh we are getting oil so we don't need to produce so much. Also don't over exfoliate your face, most people when they see a pimple they start scrubbing and scrubbing with harsh products. This will irritate your skin making it red and spreading the oil around creating more and more break outs. Exfoliate at least 3 times a week ( every other day ) and use a cleanser with enzymes that will naturally and gently exfoliate.
The rest I think you already know like cleanse and wash every day, take your makeup off every day and just look after your skin. Your face is the first thing people notice, you apply make-up to your skin, you need the base to be flawless and then you will have great make-up days :D now onto my beauty oil obsession ...
Ever since I tried many samples of Kiehl's midnight recovery serum I fell in love with beauty oils, I wanted to try them all. I came across The Balm Balm rose beauty oil. I have now been using it for about 2 weeks and I love it. First it smells so girly and amazing, just pure roses!! The rose scent is not irritable or over powering. It feels luxurious and makes your skin feel beautiful and soft.
This oil is 100% natural and organic, its amazing for any age and skin type. Its a thick oil but also lightweight so it will not make you look like a grease chicken. It dries into the skin after about 20 minutes. If you apply a thin, thin layer it can be applied in the morning time but I'd give it about half an hour before applying any make-up. I apply it at night about 2 hours before bed because I like to apply a good layer and let it soak and sink into my skin. My skin loves this oil, it soaks it in really well and I have notice I'm not oily during the next day. My skin feels very smooth, soft and glowing when I wake up the next morning, My skin feels moisturized and well hydrated. The scent of roses makes you feel more luxurious and girly.
I hope this post was not to long, and it helped some of you.. and hopefully you love beauty oils and will try some. :D

I'm back to blogging + Murad reviews! ♥
Hello! I am finally back from my little break from blogging! I explained why I was taking a break in my last post HERE . I have missed blogging so I'm back to business. For this post I have a Murad review. I love this company, I think the skincare products are really nice and have been beneficial for my skin. I also wanted to mention Sarah who is the lady who I am currently working with as a blogger reviewer for Murad. Sarah is so lovely and sweet and extremely helpful. I just wanted to mention her because she has been amazing and I am so glad to be working with her. Also even though I am a blogger reviewer for Murad all opinions are my own. I will never have a dishonest post just because I am getting sent products. My reviews are 100% my own and truthful. Now Onto the reviews :D
Murad Soothing Gel Cleanser. * price - £27.00 *
This smells amazing!!!! It smells very soothing so I can see where the name 'soothing' has come from because it smells very soothing and feels very soothing. The scent is Fresh/Soothing/Peppermint/Cucumber, its not overpowering which is good but does smell so good! This feels very soft on the skin which I love because my skin is sensitive and I hate any cleanser or wash that is to ruff on the skin. I was having a bit of a break out one week, my skin needed to be soothed and calmed so I washed my face with this cleanser and I noticed how redness, tightness and the spots went down! my skin felt very calm and soothed which really makes me happy and I try and save this cleanser for days where my skin needs that soothing and calming cleanser. Also my skin has been dry more than oily lately and when I use this gel cleanser my skin feels hydrated and I no longer have dry areas on my skin. This cleanser makes my skin feel soothed when I am washing it, after washing my skin feels fresh and clean, looks brighter and clear and also feels very soft. I love this, its gentle and does not irritate my eyes or skin, I recommend it!!!
Murad Hydrating Toner. * Price - £23.00 *
Oh this has to be the best toner I have ever used!! Now because my skin has been on the dryer side lately I have needed more hydrating products so this hydrating toner has been giving my skin that extra hydration it has been needing. This has been so nice to use every night and morning and has been very hydrating to my skin. It also smells Soooooo lovely, very calming but also fresh! I love how it is a spray rather than applying it to a cotton pad. It's also nice to just refresh your skin with :) It soaks in quick and feels amazing.
Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture * Price - £64.00 *
This moisturizer is super rich and thick. So I apply it in the night time because it's thick, in the day time you want a lighter moisturizer.
This moisturizer has helped my skin become a lot more hydrated and soft. It's a tiny bit on the greasy side but its not at all to oily. Its nice to have a thick, thick moisturizer when my skin needs that hydration and moisture. I feel my skin is moisturized all night, even when I wake up my skin still feels moisturized and soft! It feels very luxurious and smells of shea butter and a little fruity which is lovely. I have noticed the texture of my skin has improved as well as the tone of my skin! Great moisturizer!!

Taking a break from MakeupwithKimmy!
This post is just going to be me telling whoever reads this that I might be taking a break from blogging, Before I quit all together I might just take a break. This may cause my follower number to go down but hey ho that is just the way it is.
So like all bloggers you start off small and just build it up and that is what I have been doing. I started blogging in July 2013 and now in March 2014 I have reached 157 followers which to me is pretty amazing. Lately I have been just thinking about that number and to be honest I don't feel any good that I have that number. Why? well I do a post and put a lot of effort and time into it, I post it and I receive 0, maybe 1 comment on that post. Now I know comments are not everything but to be honest I love feedback and reading the comments and interacting with people on my blog. To do a post you think is pretty interesting, you have put a lot of time, dedication and effort into it, you post it and you just get nothing from the 157 people that have followed your blog its pretty disheartening and when that keeps happening it gets to the point of " is anyone reading my blog" " is my blog not good" you start getting questions in your head.
Also from this blogging experience I thought I'd gain some friendships and talk to people and just interact with other bloggers and to be honest I have not! I have tweeted, in the #bbloggers. I have commented on tweets and blogs, I have done things to interact with people but I feel nothing gets back to me.
Now I am not trying to make this post all about me complaining because good things from blogging have come out of it like, enjoying writing posts and having some fun with my blog. Also I have got to work with many amazing companies, like Philosophy and Murad and many more to review their products on my blog which is amazing and I have loved that.
I guess I just wish I had some feedback and some interaction and knowing that someone is reading my posts, and they are helpful and interesting and I am just not wasting my time and effort when nobody is reading them...
I think Makeupwithkimmy will be on a break just because I just want to take time out of blogging and just think about if I should just end blogigng all together or carry on :-) If you have any suggestions let me know. Xx
thank you to anyone who has read my posts or commented I am grateful and yeah that is all... Goodbye for now blogging world! xox
